Stopping Pope Pelosi

Res Ipsa Loquitor

Even if I wasn't Roman Catholic, I think I shall still have noticed that it (almost?) alone, among Christian sects, have refused to yield to demands from non-Catholic popinjays, and the Kennedy-Pelosi wing of self indulgent "worshipers." They who like to make and live by their own rules.  Hence, we have no female priests; we have not sanctified and celebrated same sex marriage (while accepting that lifestyle sub rosa).  The Church have not backed off an inch in it's stance that abortion is infanticide.

Cardinal Peter Turkson, a 64-year-old Ghanaian prelate, is the bookmaker's early favourite to succeed Pope Benedict XVI.

He told The Daily Telegraph Tuesday that his biggest challenge, should he be elected, would be to maintain an orthodox Catholic doctrine while "at the same time knowing how to apply it so that you do not become irrelevant in a world that has continuous changes".
Not that it's been easy.  Like any organization the church have it's liberal twats who work the back chanels, and would feel a great deal more comfortable if they could go belly-up and "modernize."  So far, that's been impossible,  because the College of Cardinals, who select the Pope, have  themselves been chosen by Popes who took into account the dogmatic backbone of new princes of the church.

Still, I find it maddeningly humorous that when first alerted (by Drudge)  to Pope Benedict's retirement, the first line under it  was 'First Black Pope?" While I didn't click that link, I have no doubt that it came from the New York Times ilk.

There would be not a thing wrong with it of course, as long as it wasn't accomplished the same way Obama was elevated to the presidency - with a phony baptismal certificate; by illegal votes cast by dead Cardinals; or with illegal voters bussed  in by the Unions.

Still, I cannot forget some prophecy I picked up, somewhere—years ago—that this pope (Benedict) would be the last.

Paddy Power has Cardinal Marc Oulett and Cardinal Peter Turkson running neck and neck at 7/2 to become Il Papa.

It always amuses me when the chattering classes parade their complete ignorance of the Church. They think it's a democracy and that they get a vote in ...oh say, who gets to be a saint.

Makes sense… The next Pope will be Peter of Rome and will also be the last according to Malachy.

The link from Drudge makes it sound as if the selection of Turkson is a done deal. He is quoted as if he's giving his acceptance speech.

Cool. I'm still voting for the Black guy. Whomever says God doesn't have a sense of humor is wrong.
