Roger, I highly recommend "George Gently" on Netflix if you haven't already viewed the show. Another great Brit Chief Inspector. Show is set in the mid 60's. Don't know why Hollywood can't or won't make shows of this quality. No political axe to grind, just good entertainment. Tom Selleck in the Jesse Stone series comes close.
