Yannow, I think I can like this new Pope. Seems like a normal guy elevated to a new position. I have to admit, though i'm sure the last one did good work, he did look a little too much like Emperor Palpatine for me to warm up to...
Oh - guess this is good a place / time as any to note that I have turned my blog back on. Here. All the good election analysis got trashed in the transition but I will eventually reconstruct it. Eventually I sill get time to continue my cold warrior series...

The new pope has already, in his speech yesterday, said capitalism is bad. Being from Venezuela doesn't help in that regard. Since I'm not Catholic, I could give a s*** what he dislikes but, until he starts excommunicating the Catholic politicians who are for abortion and against other human rights, I'm not going to care what he says about anything.
