I'd feel very uncomfortable sitting like that, I felt naked as soon as I looked at that image-I'd need to be in the corner.

I eat out solo quite a bit.
Mention that you tip really well, and you'll never have to sit in a corner.
Also, you can bask in the envy of every other guy who's stuck with listening to the same crap they've had to listen to for years … and whose meal will cost at least twice yours.
