My Border Collie, Abbie, knows more about Climate and Meteorology than our current POTUS.
Although I have had a good opinion of Neil deGrasse Tyson and most of his opinions, I was somewhat thrown for a loop last night. The Cosmos episode, covering the history of Earth, seemed to do a good job of covering the ever changing planet, but then Neil had to throw in some comment regarding AGW and how people should trust what they are told, even if it goes against their better judgement. Neil sounded like he sincerely believed that all scientists and politicians should be trusted, because they deserve to be trusted.
Maybe Neil is not as smart as I initially thought. I am sadly disappointed in him. -

FAILURE TO EXECUTE LAWS FAITHFULLY: DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE
The systematic politicization of a Department of Justice that has covered up the Fast & Furious scandal, denied Americans equal protection of the laws, encouraged violations of law, and stonewalled Congress.
USURPING CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY
Unilaterally instigating an undeclared, unauthorized, and unprovoked war in Libya, resulting in thousands of deaths, the killing of a head of state, and the empowerment of anti-America jihadists.
DERELICTION OF DUTY AS COMMANDER IN CHIEF
The grossly inadequate security for government personnel in Benghazi, leading to the murder of four American citizens, including the U.S. ambassador to Libya.

Sounds nice, but as long as Dirty Harry Reid runs the Senate and there is zero based budgeting and no new budget, Uhbama's spending is on auto pilot for 3-8% annual increase short of shutting down the government, and the apparatchiks on both sides haven't the stomach for that.
