Le Deluge, She is Here

Immediately after the last post I lost all connectivity.  Verizon Home Agent first said I had a "bad wired" card, which may be the case since the cable connect light is orange and not green, but I don't have wireless connectivity either.  On another try Home Agent said it had to reset my router and then asked if it was working now?  So what about The "bad wired" card?  First I lose my back-up disk, and now this.  Maybe God is telling me to enter a monetary and make wine and bread for monks.

Rodge, I have been awaiting my chance to, as you say, "enter a monetary" my entire adult life. If all it takes is giving up on my ISP, then I have been the victim of the ultimate Zen koan.

Posted via iPAD means I used that impossibly bad keyboard design, so forgive me my splelling eras.

MSN has been harassing me for a month about some added security code for my email because I handle sensitive data - not true. They had my cell number and wanted to call me or text me the number. The question is where did they get my cell number because I didn't give it to them.

So I ignored them, so they said they would have to put my Hotmail account on hold for a month - fine with me. Then a message appeared later to ask again for a security number they had supposedly sent me earlier with a hint (last 4 digits) that indicated that my cell number was the security code and they wanted me to type it in - I hit the "x." I kept getting that harassing tab popup until I changed my MSN homepage to Yahoo - bastards!

It's just that time of year, I'm afraid. It took me nearly a week to track down the source of an intermittent drop in connectivity. Problem was it'd drop, then return before I could find anything in diags. Dang, that was a pain.

Max, I went through the same thing in zip97202. Comcast replaced all fittings, pronounced wires good, router good, everything good, then said the problem was within a half mile of my house and somebody would fix it. ???

Did they actually fix it, Walt?
