A sad sight

This lady evidently came in with the doll, sat it down and had lunch with it.  There's a back-story here that's too sad to ponder over.   Which means I just did.

I hope you're wrong, Roger. I hope this is a gift for some real little girl, and this woman was simply amusing herself on the way to deliver it, imagining the tea parties the intended recipient will have.

But I fear you are right, and this is going to haunt me for a long time.
