If you ever hear someone refer to a Major as a "troop" you know you are talking to someone that has no clue about the military. Its just this simple, the Colin Powells get to stay, the David Hackworths..., "chuck em out, the brute". This has always been the territory of the Lt. Colonel, sift out the few with the warrior heart, so as not to sully the white table cloth among the gentlemen. They have just expedited the purification down a rank to the Majors.
