Whipping Boner

In my home state of Maryland, there were rampant reports of fraud during early voting in November.  A number of voters who cast ballots for Republican candidates witnessed the computer system automatically flipping their votes in favor of the Democrat candidate.

Evidently, this turned out to be a national phenomenon.

In other states, voters did indeed cast votes for Republicans, only to see the mandate overturned by the D.C. Oligarchy led by Barack Obama, John Boehner, and Mitch McConnell.

It is hard to exaggerate what has just occurred in Congress.  Democrats were completely repudiated and defeated in November.  Then, Obama unilaterally sacked our system of governance and granted amnesty with the flick of the wrist.  Yet, John Boehner and Mitch McConnell worked hand-in-glove to help the defeated Democrats pass a budget that fully funds Obama’s entire lawless operation for the rest of the year – as if the executive amnesty never happened.

Fight Boehner in January: Many felt that fighting Boehner during the Speaker’s vote in January was a futile exercise. But if this doesn’t change that mindset, Boehner will now know he has no reason to fear conservatives. It only takes 29 Republicans to deny Boehner a majority.
When some grassroots liberals began to oppose the bill because of tangential provisions, Obama and his allies reminded them that they had gotten “virtually everything” they wanted from the bill.  This, after losing an election.

Stunningly, only 67 Republicans, 29% of the House membership voted against it.  Even many of those members only opposed the bill once they realized their votes were no longer needed.

So where do we go from here?

We can’t change Obama.  We can’t change the GOP establishment.  But we can change the way the allegedly conservative members operate.

GOP leadership has been at war with them for years; it’s time they act accordingly. It’s time for all of the members who claim to be part of the conservative base of the party to unite behind several clear goals:

  • Stand Behind Defund Rider: The time to begin fighting amnesty is now, not in January. Conservatives must band together and commit to taking down the rule on any budget bill to fund DHS (the only remaining bill, thanks to passage of the CRomniibus) that does not contain a full defund rider ...- See more
  • Form a New Caucus: As conservatives have advocated many times before, it’s time for the 30 or so conservative members to leave the corrupted Republican Study Committee and form a group that will actively promote a conservative vision inside Congress. Despite publicly stating their intent to use every budgetary tool at their disposal to... - See more
  • Pledge to Oppose Procedural Votes: The forgotten lesson from this fight is that conservatives had the ability to block this bill but failed to do so.  When it became apparent that Democrats would all oppose the procedural vote, it only took about 17 Republicans to defeat the rule on the bill and kill the legislation.  We came up one vote short.  Had just one of the other 51 members who opposed final passage agreed to vote against the rule, this bill would have been defeated.  If conservatives are to learn... - See more
  • Fight Boehner in January: Many felt that fighting Boehner during the Speaker’s vote in January was a futile exercise.  But if this doesn’t change that mindset, Boehner will now know he has no reason to fear conservatives.  It only takes 29 Republicans to deny Boehner a majority.  It’s time to have that fight.  Once Boehner is denied the majority, the vote will go back to conference.  Sure, we will never get a conservative as Speaker, but we need to make it clear that conservatives will have veto power over someone who has failed at his job and has betrayed the trust of the conference. [The full deck]

I am particularly fond of Form a New Caucus:, and Fight Boehner in January.  Several years ago I noted how just about a dozen members of the Congressional Black Caucus held the balance of power, forcing DEMS to cater to their whims.  I saw this as a realistic way for Libertariansthen the only dissenting voice to establishment GOP cave-in dwellers—to wield power if they concentrated on getting House MOH elected.  Now, a united Tea Party, which includes recalcitrants like MD Rep. Andy Harris who, I'm saddened to say, voted with the Boner gang, can flex some real muscle.

I'm sorry.
Over the last decade I've done my best to keep the faith, to keep the Constitutional flame alight...

Look at this post and EVERY OTHER POST to the bottom of the page and explain to me how I have any other opinion than "LET. IT. BURN."

Robert Mitchell Jr. said...

You are looking at the wrong posts, FishStyx. Look elsewhere, and tell me when and where "LET. IT. BURN." has ever worked. Look at the French Revolution. Look at the Russian Revolution. Look at the Chinese Revolution. Look at the Cuban Revolution. Look at the English Civil War. The list goes on..... "LET. IT. BURN." means giving all the power to the dirtbags we are fighting now. Why would you be so stupid as to do that? Where do you think you will flee to, crying "I didn't mean for THIS to happen!", when it oh so predictably goes south? Do you not remember the Lincoln Brigades? The Weathermen? The Left WILL fight, and they do quite well in the chaos of collapse.

And it is pathetic that you would talk like this, when we are doing so well. We have problems, we have work to do, but really, this is nothing. Nothing like the mess we had to deal with after we finished the war to keep Stalin in Power. How blind you must be, to not see how far we have come, how much the Left has lost. We have gone from arguing whither or not it's ok to have avowed Communists in the code room of the Pentagon, to how far is too far when it comes to defending the American people. The Deficit has gone from almost 30% of GNP, to less then 5%! The internet allows us to work around the corrupt, communist controlled Press, and once desk top manufacturing becomes a staple, the Democrat's dream of gun control will finally be out of their reach (Ignoring the amazing work of the Republicans on that issue for the last twenty years! Amazing, yes, but the worm can always turn, until such time (Soon, so soon) when every house can make guns). We are the Civilized ones. We fight within the system, and are winning, using the system. It's when people go "LET. IT. BURN.", when people give up, that the Left, the Democrats win. They can't do anything right, but when the World goes Mad, they are finally in their element, they can finally win......

Mr. Mitchell, you are, Sir, regrettably correct.

A confluence of events, both public and private, caused me to lose, if not the "faith", then the will to keep up the fight.

You shame me. Thank you for the kick in the ass.

...and every 1stSgt in history sings out...

"Quit yer bitchin', suck it up, and DRIVE ON!!!"

:)! There was a reason why "Tokyo Rose" was tried for Treason. It is easy to lose the "will to fight", with all the current "Tokyo Rose"s, and their endless lies. We are winning, Life is getting so much better, and the Press is going down in flames. Keep the Faith, and Merry Christmas!

Thanks Robert I needed that. I know it's bullshit we are winning and it's total bullshit that life is getting better but, it is Christmas.

Ok guys, I want to be optimistic and have warm fuzzies but, given the current crop of dipshits and morons running the country my fuzzies are all shaved. I don't trust a goddamn thing Obama does or says and NOW that covers Boehner, McConnell, Reid and Pelosi.

We DO have some good warriors, Cruz, Gowdy and even Dr Ben Carson and Sarah fight the good fight. My prayer is that it is not too late. The perfidy the leftists have committed on my - correction OUR country, are huge and only some of which are coming to light. We cannot rely on the media (who are in collusion) to fight for us so we must do th battle alone.

I have long resented gun laws which force "registration" - this merely puts a target on their backs when the shit hits the fan. No, the only thing that keeps a government honest and trustworthy is an armed populace who is NOT AFRAID TO DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION! To hell with those who would do harm to our freedom in the guise of "helping" the downtrodden.....bullshit - their intent is domination of us all.

Remember Kruschev's admonition - we will not accept communism but, if they give it to us in small doses - one paper cut at a time, they can do it and we will be blindsided when it hits. Don't trust a fucking thing they tell you - they lie with impunity and don't care who they hurt - not even their own families.

Sorry Roger for the profanity but, I have restrained too much and the time for action is now. We have been patient too long - now the question is what should we do?

Well, Bolivar, you bring up gun registration. Note well that "gun control" is in terrible shape. The Democrats have been losing that fight for 20+ years. We are winning the fight. I could point out the Deficit, now down to less then 5% of GNP, thank's to Republican control of the House. We are winning the fight. I could keep going. Why are you so spun up? We are winning. Too slow for your tastes? I understand. But again, can you name a Revolution that did not go south? (And the American "Revolution" doesn't count, because it wasn't, it was a succession....).

Robert, I want to believe in the tooth fairy and Santa Claus but, long ago, my eyes were opened and the "cat is out of the bag".

Deficit is small potatoes - the DEBT is the killer and it has almost doubled since Barry and the bros took over. If that is not enough to weep over I don't know what is. We are committing a huge crime on our kids and grandkids. I tried - God knows I tried to fight the good fight but, I am tired and my ass hurts from all the dry humping all decent, God-fearing CITIZENS have been getting the last 6 years. I am so tired of democraps giving away the pantry to uncaring vermin who creep across our wide open border spreading disease and the pestilence of apathy all over our beautiful nation.

Like I said, I hope for the best but, I fear we may be too late to undo all of the damage.

Nonsense. The Net worth of America dwarfs the Debt, and is increasing faster then the debt, despite the Democrat's best efforts. We are winning. You have been taken in by the lies of the Press, as they try to recreate "Porkbusters", to give control of Congress back to the Democrats. Look at percentages, not "raw" numbers (The favorite trick of the Press when telling these lies. Republicans are spending TRILLIONS!!! Democrats are spending 2% of the GNP. Same numbers, but way different feel.....).

Then there's the fact that much of the "debt" is SS and other wealth transfer programs, and not really debt (As the Supreme Court has said in hardcopy). If things were to actually get tight, we would just stop paying off the parasites......

I seem to have opened this shared “wound” of ours; allow me to, if not heal it (which I cannot do) at least bind it up…
I have spent the day dealing with the flu ravaging my household. I, my wife, and my son are all sicker than dogs. I have allowed myself to fall into self-pity.
Mr. Mitchell’s (and Sir Churchill’s) words have made me rethink my outlook.
iri and Bolivar – Until today I shared your viewpoints. It’s too late. It’s too much. It’s not fast enough.
I believe now that my eyes have been set on the wrong horizon. I have been watching the world around me and feeling lost when I cannot see the battle finished and the victory at hand.
Let me remind those of us who swore The Oath…there was no promise of a single battle and done. There was no expiration on our allegiance or our faithfulness or our watchfulness.
The horizon I have been over-looking is the battle all around me. There is no end. It will always be.

THAT is what we swore.

“I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."

Three days after the UVa rape story was exposed as a hoax, my local editorial page wrote a big article about the epidemic of rape on campus.

After Duke Lacrosse, the narrative continues. Weeks after a grand jury refuses to indict in Furgerson the President is making speeches about how people are sometimes right to not trust the system. Under out law, the President has no role in this process. The grand jury has expressly the final say if they do not indict. No judicial review except for interference in the process (such as a bribe), and no recharging by the AG. Apparently a majority of people in America are willing to throw all this away if the mob feels otherwise.

ate to give in to hopelessness but for about 75 years collectivism and the power of the central state has ratcheted up relentlessly. Even after one centrally planned economy after another has brought poverty, loss of freedom and death. Even mixed economies like Europe and Japan are unable to give people full time jobs. People call for more: The governmant has to run finance, the government has to run health care, now apparently the government has to replace the grand jury of citizens and maybe tomorrow the petite jury. The government has to regulate TV because of limited broadcast spectrum, now the internet to stop online stalking and "net neutrality", energy production because of carbon. Nothing they don't control and they use that control to increase their power.

Ah, Anonymous, compare Obama's sleaze with Wilson and his "Palmer Raids". Or FDR and his "ethnic cleansing". We are winning. Never forget that the only reason we are so far behind, the whole reason the Left got as close as they did to a Totalitarian American State, is because Teddy Roosevelt formed a third party and got that lunatic racist, Wilson, into office. We are winning. It just doesn't feel like it because the Press has always lied about how bad Wilson and FDR were.

Mr. Mitchell mentioned Tokyo Rose in an earlier post. Following suit here, I have begun referring to Obama as "The Ayatollah". Because I firmly believe that he is a closet Islamist and in sympathy, if that is the right word, with the "leadership" of those in whatever is referred to as "power" in Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan. And yet, the majority of voters here elected his to the White House for two terms, where he and Mooch have infested the place for 6 years and counting. We all must take note, too, that they are just another black family living in government housing. If that sounds racist to someone out there, so be it. But it is true, like it or not.
