My 1st thought: Someone's slipping Drano into Rodge's coffee again.
There could be, of course, other plausible explanations. - 1/15/15, 11:07 AM

I have an inquisitive mind. I do hope that you never find yourself at the point of starvation however.

Speaking for the entire interwebs, we commend you for open-mindedness. Your concern for my personal welfare is also appreciated. Have no fear. <— last night
Let me tell you a little story about something you don't know about yourself. This week I Amazoned an antique book of 16th Century essays by Michel de Montaigne. The essays remain highly influential in Western Culture, but they are freely available online. This book is special because it was curated and illustrated by Salvador Dalí. Honestly, I bought it as a cheap way to get a bunch of rare Dalí prints.
Reading the text, I immediately understood what attracted the painter to the author. Montaigne develops his philosophical points through storytelling: Lots of stories melting into one-another, from around the globe and throughout the ages. Then he applies a smidgeon of this own insight to bind all these disparate allusions into an indisputable lesson.
This is exactly the paranoiac-critical method Dalí used. And which also defines your blogging style. As with the case at hand, it can crash and burn, but true artists thrive on this form of high-risk expression. That's why I am a faithful reader and why you are this year's Salvador Dalí Award laureate. ((Dint see that coming, didja?))
The aspect of paranoia that Dalí was interested in and which helped inspire the method was the ability of the brain to perceive links between things which rationally are not linked. - 1/15/15, 12:18 PM

A girlfriend once told me that in a perfect world, it would taste like chocolate instead of Clorox.

@Kim: Showoff.
No, Rodge, it would be an honor for me to serve The Hungry, but they don't allow poor people on Longboat. Sometimes we just get an urge to cook for 100 of our best friends.
