I've spent twenty years in tech support. I've seen "broken" computers that were unplugged multiple times.

Power plugs, cables laying unprotected on the floor that get kicked loose or crushed, Malware downloaded of an uncertified site.

The IT folks I knew referred to this as a PEBKAC. "Problem exists between keyboard and chair."

Ah yes, the dreaded ID-10-T error.

Yep. We used ID10T as well. :)

I had never heard the word "user" used as a derogatory term before working with IT people. As in "you are such a USER".
