" judge in bed, a pillow over his head"

Cibolo Creek Ranch owner recalls Scalia’s last hours in Texas

"We discovered the judge in bed, a pillow over his head. "

MARFA — A first-time guest to the Cibolo Creek Creek Ranch, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia was animated and engaged during dinner Friday night, as one of three dozen invitees to an event that had nothing to do with law or politics, according to the ranch owner.
Just hours later, he would be found dead of apparent natural causes, which media outlets were reporting Sunday was a heart attack.

"We discovered the judge in bed, a pillow over his head. His bed clothes were unwrinkled," said Poindexter.
"He was seated near me and I had a chance to observe him. He was very entertaining. But about 9 p.m. he said, 'it's been a long day and a long week, I want to get some sleep," recalled Houston businessman John Poindexter, who owns the 30,000-acre luxury ranch.

When Poindexter tried to awaken Scalia about 8:30 the next morning, the judge's door was locked and he did not answer. Three hours later, Poindexter returned after an outing, with a friend of Scalia who had come from Washington with him.

"We discovered the judge in bed, a pillow over his head. His bed clothes were unwrinkled," said Poindexter. [FULL]

I'll wait to see how believable Poindexter's inevitable recantation is. Of course the Democrat praetorian guard media who sold us Vince Foster, Ron Brown, Warren Report, TWA 800, Jerry Parks, et al,  are still very much operative.

Is the DNC heart-attack gun considered a weapon or a gizmo?

And if it's in the firearm category, is it a pistol or a rifle?

That's Seinfeld, following George's plea to 'kill me now, Jerry', thinking he had suffered a heart attack. And when Elaine takes an interest in the doctor and leaves the room to 'ask him a question', Jerry observes that 'women want a man with knowledge of the body; men just want the body'. Yeah, I know. I need to get a life outside of Seinfeld.

As to the political ramifications of the pillow, this is right up there with the initial 'unknowns' concerning Obama's birth records. And he played it to the hilt, again sowing distrust among the great unwashed. All part of the plan.

I sleep on my side with a pillow over my head to shut out noise. I also have fans on to make white noise. I'm high maintenance when it comes to sleep.

It's not typical in Texas for a judge to be involved with pronouncing a death. That's usually the task of the Justice of the Peace, which makes me wonder why they weren't officially involved.

Time will tell how this turns out, but the smell is not pleasant.

They killed him the same way they killed Breitbart

If you look who has the most to benefit from Scalia's death, start with the cases Scalia was most interested in. The Supreme Court was hearing a case in which California Teachers did not wish to be required to pay dues to the union. This case had the potential to overturn the Abood decision, and thus potentially devastate the unions finances. Scalia himself indicated he had changed his mind since Abood and did not think overturning it would hurt the unions only require union members to consent to having their dues deducted from their paychecks. The California Teachers Association is the largest political donor in California. CalSTRS is the largest teachers' retirement fund in the United States. CalSTRS is also currently the thirteenth largest public pension fund in the world.

This is starting to sound like the plot line in 'The Pelican Brief'.

What kind of pillow was it?

Could it have been a My Pillow ™? Whatever kind of pillow was involved, the National Sleep Foundation (who, in case you hadn't heard, has endorsed My Pillow™ as their "Official Pillow") needs to be consulted!

How about something like this:

Here's a line from their site:
Happy Endings In-Home Pet Euthanasia in Phoenix is here to ensure that the cold exam room of a vet's office is NOT the last place your pet experiences. Instead, he/she can pass peacefully at home on his favorite pillow, with his favorite toy, in the loving arms of his owners.

It's certainly not beyond the dastardly limits of a committed leftist to utilize the methods of the pet-care industry to accomplish their evil ways.

Look, all joking aside, I had the greatest respect for Antonin Scalia. And to maintain that reverence, it's important to remember three things. The mans age, his health (as reported by his doctor), and Occam's razor.

Scalia was an old man, recuperating from his infirmities by quail hunting on a Texas ranch. After all unions have always been free of corruption with only the best interests of their constituents at heart, totally free of the lure of power and money.

Wait a minute! If he died while on a quail-hunting trip, why hasn't some Liberal wag raised the spectre of his having been killed by DICK CHENEY?

Hmmm…is that a "major award"? Is it anything like the Brass Figlagee with Bronze Oakleaf Clusters?
