If that's the one that sold a few years back at Barrett Jackson it broke the sales price record. The owner wanted $660K and got 4M. That'll do. -Anymouse

Ron in Ohio Sez:
Years ago, I'm not sure when but I know that it was at least 20-25 years ago, We pulled off of I-69 to go to the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Museum in Auburn, Indiana. It was closed so we walked around and peeked in the windows. Farther out from the building sat an, old, dilapidated, Futurliner. I recognized it immediately and explained to my wife that I had originally seen it with my step-dad back in '55 & '56 at the GM Motorama when the show came to Miami's Dinner Key auditorium.
Believe me, it looked a lot different then. GM started with 8) "Streamliners" in 1936 to use in their "Parade of Progress" tours and eventually replaced them with 12) "Futurliners" in 1940. They were used in the 50's "GM Motoramas" and finally sold-off in 1956. The complete history and pics can be found @ http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2014/08/days-futurliners-past-general-motors-parade-progress-buses/
Here is also a link from over 9 years ago with pictures of, evidently, the A-C-D's restored Futureliner: http://www.futurliner.com/auburn.htm - 4/18/16, 2:28 PM
