America Was Never Great?

I've read descriptions of the rate-of-fire of the German machine guns as being so fast, it sounded like fabric being ripped apart.
Here, let me demonstrate that with your sign. - 6/6/16, 12:50 PM

I had the honor of knowing two guys who went over that beach.
Buck told me of lying in an apple orchard, just inland, and seeing great chunks of shrapnel, seemingly in slow motion, scything through the trees over his head, shearing off limbs. He said it was particularly terrifying because there was nothing they could do about stopping it.
Bill is the guy just off the ramp, looking back over his left shoulder in this pic: http://img.timeinc.net/time/images/covers/pacific/2004/20040531_400.jpg
I used to shoot with him, and once he told us about that picture, that he was thinking about getting back in the boat.
I wouldn't blame him at all.
The guys with the "never great" sign can go to hell. I'd be happy to assist them.

Every American over the age of 12 should be required to watch this at least once a month.

As seems to be par for the course nowadays, June 6 pretty much came and went with nary a mention of D-Day. Our "heroes" now are the gender-benders.
