NEWT:"DEPORT THEM"

Washington (C
NN)  Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich on Thursday called for the U.S. to test every person with a Muslim background to see if they believe in Sharia law, and deport those who do.

"Let me be as blunt and direct as I can be. Western civilization is in a war. We should frankly test every person here who is of a Muslim background, and if they believe in Sharia, they should be deported," Gingrich said in an interview with Fox News' Sean Hannity. "Sharia is incompatible with Western civilization. Modern Muslims who have given up Sharia, glad to have them as citizens. Perfectly happy to have them next door."[FULL]

A recent poll of Muslims show 50% want Sharia.

NEWT! My Man! (From a fellow Georgian)

I would have been thrilled to see Trump select Newt as a running mate, but I can certainly see the logic behind the Pence selection. This leaves Newt available on the sidelines, or maybe front lines if you will, to make the dander raising statements like those above.

I'm pumped! Let's beat the bitch!

Imams will tell their flocks to lie in order to stay here.

They don't need imams to tell them to lie to deceive the infidel for the greater good of Islam. The doctrines of taqiyya and kitman tell them to lie to deceive the infidel for the greater good of Islam.

And what is "the greater good of Islam"? It's world domination, and if, in pursuing that goal, innocent human beings, even children, are beheaded, blown up, drowned, raped and tortured and ground up under the wheels of a truck, Allah still smiles and says "What good Muslims these brave holy warriors are!"

My wife and I have been wondering... Can a natural born American citizen be deported?

I don't think so, where would they be deported to? She's not so sure, being Tejano, her folks were in Texas before it became Texas.

if Newt is speaking of immigrants, legal or illegal, he is correct. if he is referring to citizens of the United States, naturalized or natural born, he is wrong. for one thing, to where do you deport a natural born US citizen?

i'm pretty sure that a "deport all atheists" movement would follow. or perhaps the US could become one big Northern Ireland.

Newt is correct if he is wishing to control our borders. he is much too simplistic if he is advocating a Manzanar type assault on the US population.

Gosh, let's just hope this doesn't inspire a backlash! Wouldn't it be just awful if a couple of thousand true-blue Americans went Buford Pusser on the Muslim "stronghold" of Dearbornistan?

well, Lt. Col. Gen. Tailgunner dick, aside from Leavenworth being less than 120 miles from my hometown, it is a medium security facility. if you are going to start a pogrom on US citizens i think a max or supermax is indicated. but, as clearly you would rather live up to your nom de web than address the question of citizens seriously, have a Nice weekend

How about the "Mauna Loa" in Hawaii? Unlimited storage space.

jlw - Sorry for the levity on a serious subject, but this is a historically flippant forum.
Regarding Gingrich deportation rhetoric - if a US citizen advocates sharia over US or state government law, and legislatures make it a crime to practice it in lieu of or contrary to US law, then after due process and a finding of 'guilty', they can damn well go to Leavenworth, Florence or Gitmo or anywhere else seditionists and traitors who try to overthrow our Constitution are held. Most of the instances where we've seen press stories on the issue, the people involved have not been natural born, but were immigrants who came here supposedly to escape tyranny, then advocate installing a system totally at odds with freedom.
AFAIK, it is also possible under US law for naturalized US citizens to have their citizenship stripped in a hearing and then be deported.

LTGT Dick - don't apologize. You're correct. I wasn't thinking about prison, though. The Newtron Bomb said "deport" - prison is a 'nother whole thing.
