This visual might have been inspired by Red Eye Radio, where they discussed this Wednesday night. They pointed out that the WH was also lit up in pink for Breast Cancer Awareness (not that there's anything wrong with that). And of course it's been lit in red, white and blue on numerous occasions.
Snopes.com (formerly reliable but now exposed as having a political agenda) claims that the WH was not lit in purple in honor of Prince. But why is it so easy to believe that it was? In fact, it's probably far more likely (under this regime) to light it in purple in honor of Prince than to light it in blue in honor of slain police officers. -

I've got a bad prostrate but for some reason I can't get excited about a periodic finger wave so I just do the blood test for PSA. On the other hand, I'd really like to help out on breast palpitations.

Prostrate? Palpitations?
We hope your PSA (prostate-specific antigen) test is negative. And we're pretty sure you meant you'd like to do breast palpations, although handling breasts can induce palpitations of one kind or another, in the handler or the handlee.
