Hillary v Trump

This letter to the editor in today's "The Capital"  is worth sharing
Clinton is disqualified

There's so much wrong and so few seem to care. Former U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey told MSNBC that not only is Hillary Clinton's private email server illegal, but that it "disqualifies" her from holding any federal office, such as president of the United States.

This very specifically points to one federal law, U.S. Code Title 18, Part 1, Chapter 101, Section 2071:

"(a) Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or with intent to do so takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing, filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office, or with any judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both,

"(b) Whoever, having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States."

Yes, it explicitly states, "shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States." If Hillary is allowed to run for an office of any kind, it will show us that the Washington, D.C., establishment is much more corrupt than we thought.

Hillary, in defiance of State Department protocol, continued using her private email server. If you or I had done the same thing, we both know we would be punished. Especially me, because I am an 87-year-old ex-U.S. Navy officer with "for eyes only" clearance.

And, just for snickers, this rejoinder
Donald Trump

As I've considered why I will not be voting for Donald Trump, these nouns and adjectives came to mind: demagogue, egomaniac, liar, bigot, narcissist, bully, blowhard, welsher (on payments), vague, thin-skinned, intemperate, vulgar, unscrupulous.

Have Americans forgotten the essential values of character and integrity?

I'm saying that these are fairly representative of reasoning found from both camps.  Honk of you agree.

I dunno, as far as I can see, except for maybe welsher (on Payments) and vulgar, Trump's qualities match our current President.

Coming off 2 nights of beach drinking parties and headed into another: Partially agree.

First and foremost: There is no reasoning with a Leftist. These people are emoting into a construct so remote from a shared reality, it's like Ursula Le Guin's war with turtles from space. (google it or watch The Lathe of Heaven

3. Trump is uncouth. So freaking wut!

Trump only SEEMS uncouth after decades of the encroaching politically corrected & connected.
Considering the insanity the current regime practices, & hitlery vows to continue; pointing out that Trump is "uncouth" - well really; that the best you can do?

In Trump's defense, while true, that could equally be said about Hillary!.

While most of what's said about Hillary!, like lying to the FBI and Congress and getting Americans killed to help Obama get elected, cannot be said about Trump.

Forgot to say, Trump was not called a "bigot" or racist until recently.

He used to be praised for his non-bigotry and non-racism.

Don't get me wrong,I know he's a huckster and I was adamantly against him until about a month or so ago.
