Starring Sheila Jackson Lee

DUMB AND DUMBER

Poor Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas). She has a habit of on-air mistakes almost every time she opens her mouth in front of a camera.
In the past she’s been caught on camera condemning Republicans for not raising the debt ceiling because “Obama’s black,” stated that there was a North and South Vietnam, used testimony from a fake doctor to support Obamacare, and even set up a phony interview with staged callers pretending they were concerned citizens.

Appearing on MSNBC on Friday, Lee put her foot in her mouth again when she insisted that Russia was using the encyclopedia website Wikipedia to affect the American election.

“You know that first of all I’m going to denounce the utilization of this intrusion by Wikipedia through Russia,” Lee said.

The website leaking information is Wikileaks, not Wikipedia.

Wikileaks sent her a tweet to try and tell her the difference.

Yeah, this is a tad dated.  Saw it last week and put it in my save pile.  Just because.  Still, it's in second place, after Hank Johnson's voicing concern, to an Admiral, that the Island of Guam might tip over because of all the troops stationed there.  But, barely. That these two mentally challenged people continue to be reelected says much about their constituencies.

You don't have to be smart to hold the levers of power and corrupt anyone who wants to succeed.

With Corine Brown losing her primary race and possibly going to prison, these two now vie for her title as "dumbest member of congress".

God alone only knows what she would have done if NASA had said something about Uranus:

"During a 1997 visit to the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, Jackson Lee, who was then serving on the House Science Committee and on the Subcommittee that oversees U.S. space policy, asked a guide whether the Mars Pathfinder would be able to show an image of “the flag the astronauts planted there before.” When it was subsequently pointed out that the flag to which she was referring was in fact the one that Neil Armstrong had planted on the Moon—not Mars—in 1969, Jackson Lee complained that she was being mocked by bigots. “You thought you could have fun with a black woman member of the Science Committee,” her then-chief-of-staff wrote angrily in a letter to the editor."

Years ago, I read an article where brilliant writer (Shaw?) was talking with a bubble head movie starlet at a cocktail party, and she gushed "If we married and had children with your brains and my looks, what a wonderful thing that would be!" The scientist replied "But madame, if they had my looks and your brains, think what a tragedy that would be."

If Hank Johnson and Sheila Jackson-Lee married and had kids, we'd have guaranteed double extra stupid, ugly and arrogant. Keep them apart, puhlease.
