Father of the Tea Party?

During a recent interview with ABC News correspondent George Stephanopoulos, Barrack Obama once again proved how truly delusional he is in terms of how he will be remembered after leaving the Oval Office. When asked by Stephanopoulos how he would describe his presidency in a single sentence, Obama responded with one of his most bizarre answers to date:

President Obama… um… Believed deeply in this democracy, and the American people… Because as I reflect back on what’s worked for me in this office, it’s been that I’ve gotten people that who maybe didn’t believe in the process to get engaged… I gather that I am the father of the Tea Party.”

In much the same way George III may be called the founder of the United States.  So, yeah.  Both were/are nuckin' futz as well.

Gun company stocks are dropping....My local dealer said he's taken down the shrine he had to Obama in a back room.

Obama may be right about being responsible for the start of the Tea Party, but it might actually be George W. Bush. TP-type people were already pissed off at Bush, when Obama put things in a higher gear.

Uhhhh, in hindsight, I believe that both Rog. and Skoonji are correct. The Bush's catered too much to big business and forgot their "Fly-Over" Conservative, working residents. The Obungler catered to the opposite of the Bush combo with an even more derisive attitude towards the "Fly-Overs" of the country.

What we had, was a failure to communicate! Hence, the Tea Party movement was born out of frustration and a re-awakening of the "Cool Hand Luke" quote into its current context.

"Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men."

They sure don't - Both the R-I-N-O's and the Lib-O's - Now that Trump's in charge.
