Eh...We have this great opportunity to put someone on the high court, why would we choose someone who is 66 years old and has some of the baggage he has? There are no promising 40-50 year olds on the federal level with a track record to put on the court, instead of a bombastic TV personality?
I personally don't want an unpredictable libertarian being guided natural law jurisprudence. I want someone guided by originalism in the vein of Alito.
