While Verizon customers can go  on-line and sign up for  additional services  likkety split, dropping service is was, in this case, a 90 minute exercise.  But worth it.

Winston? Named after a character in a book written by some dead white guy?

I can't imagine paying for TV like that. Maybe if I was bedridden and had nothing else to do, but even then...nope.

All you get from me is- applause! Welcome to freedom!

I cut the TV cable about a decade ago, and haven't regretted it a moment. Everything I want to see is on the Net; OK, I don't get to watch The Young Turks crap on America during prime time, and I don't see the Emmy Awards doing the same; golly gee, that really bothers me. NOT! (Somebody will post it, if it's worth watching- might have to wait a bit is all.)

You watch a lot more TV than I do, so you'll find lots of ways to watch the content you like: Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Roku, TiVo, Kodi... there are tons of possibilities, and they don't put money in the pockets of the cable companies!

If you do much streaming of content, it's a good idea to invest in a VPN as well; I use Private Internet Access (PIA) which isn't expensive and works great. Then your ISP can't look over your shoulder to disapprove of what you're doing, and it also allows you to watch content from other countries (the UK and Australia have some great shows!)

Who knows, if enough people cut the cable cord, maybe someday we'll actually be able to choose the channels we'd like to watch instead of paying for a bundle which puts lots of $$ in the pockets of the likes of CNN, MSNBC, and all the other #FakeNewsMedia!
