Lee Ermey ...










It is with deep sadness that I regret to inform you all that R. Lee Ermey ("The Gunny") passed away this morning from complications of pneumonia. He will be greatly missed by all of us.

I met  a couple of years ago at the SHOT Show Day at the Range.  He was friendly toward all who met him at the booth, as he represented Glock.

Day at the Range is held on a Monday, as part of the SHOT Show festivities.  It was at Boulder Rifle & Pistol Club in Boulder City, NV, while the rest of the show is in Las Vegas.  I went to the Glock booth and asked about him.  I was told he wasn't feeling well and wouldn't be at the show.  I guess whatever he had stayed with him and got worse.  Damned shame.

He was one of a kind, and God broke the mold after He made Ermey. I hope he rests in peace, but he'll probably be dressing-down the Angels in Heaven to make them more presentable!

Hollywood blacklisted him, he was critical of their messiah Oblablah. May the fleas of a million camels infest Hollywood and the actors who allowed this to happen!
