Asia Argento, the Italian actress who was one of the first to publicly accuse Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault, secretly paid off a young male actor accusing her of sexual misconduct in the months after her revelations about the disgraced movie mogul.

According to a report in The New York Times, Argento paid former child actor Jimmy Bennett $380,000. Bennett claims that in 2013, a then 37-year-old Argento assaulted him in a California hotel only two months past his 17th birthday. The age of consent in California is 18.

Asia Argento was one of the first and most vocal accusers of disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein. So, now, The Weinstein camp are striking back.   I guess he's off the hook now.

I wonder (please excuse me for this apostasy) if Jimmy Bennett wooda protested if he was assaulted by Harvey Weinstein? Just sayin.

The 'brier patch' reference says a whole lot about why we cannot have "common sense" in the US at this time. Uncle Remus was a national treasure. In my youth he was the epitome of why segregation was stupid and evil. This old negro slave was honored as a wise man who taught core values as undeniable truth.
Today's discourse is screaming "racists", "foul" and "not my core values." We cannot see his character because we know the color of his skin and the condition of his servitude.
Common sense is based on common values. Common values come from a common experience.
Please don't throw me into the brier patch!
