Did we give up when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

Saw it three times in the theater.  Bought the DVD and have watched it, I don’t know, maybe 30 times. I am still unable to skip any televised showing.  I know every one of those characters.  I lived, quite eerily, when I was in the army, the scene where we (they) ran out of the bar and leaving our white ‘dates’ behind in the clutches some very angry Black patrons.  Loved this treatment too.

They didn't say shit about Donald Sutherland, did they?

But man, that Karen Allen. There was always kinda a vulnerability about her somehow or another that I found striking. Woofta. Somewhere in an alternate universe, well, you know, she makes me grilled cheese sammiches and thinks I'm great, so I got that going for me. Ha.

Go take another look.... they actually do mention Sutherland... it was signing him that gave inertia to the project

Yessir, I did actually see that the first time; perhaps I should have been clearer. What I meant was, they didn't say shit about his interaction with the rest of the crew or any influence/input he provided to the film, other than his name recognition.
