Sigh

 YOUNG PEOPLE CANNOT LEARN FROM HISTORY ANY MORE BECAUSE HISTORY IS NO LONGER TAUGHT AS A REQUIRED SUBJECT IN PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOLS. 
  
 
Theodore " Dutch " J. Van Kirk was the navigator on the  "Enola Gay" when it dropped the bomb at Hiroshima , Japan, and is the last surviving member of the crew. This really happened.
 
Dutch was asked to speak at a grammar school this past week.The young teacher introduced him by saying the speaker was a veteran of World War Eleven (as in WWII). Dutch stood up and walked out of the school without saying a word. End of story..

My contention for decades is that the most insidious enemy we face are the teacher's unions. Their 100+ year plan to destroy our culture, traditions and history have succeeded. The reelection of Obama was proof as it was akin to hitting the iceberg, backing up and ramming it again. Only harder.

Now they're turning out millions of young adults ill equipped to have useful lives, who really believe that communism is the answer.

As us sane people look out upon what was the America we grew up in, it defies belief in the comparison.

I really am the perfect age at 67(and very healthy, knock on wood) as I'll be alive to see the the results of their nightmare but I won't have to live in it for very long. And should I have to decide to take some with me on my way out, man I've had a great life.

That evil trio has gone hand in hand to tear down an edifice that took 200 plus years, a couple million dead and wounded and trillions of dollars to build.

I met Dutch a few times at the local airshow. Really cool guy. Yep, that sounds like him. He had the arming plugs from little boy as was trying to work with the Smithsonian at the time, said they wanted them for little or no compensation. Not sure of the outcome.
