If i could be reincarnated, that's what I'd want to be able to do - sing church music, arias, 19th-20th century music hall songs - baritone or tenor - and bring an audience to smiles and tears. Mom and her sister said my grandfather could do that, but the gift didn't come down to me.
What a gift to have - that was gorgeous!

Gotta say . . . I'm not a practicing Christian -- too many questions.
But the art, especially the music, that Christianity has inspired is . . . well, dammit, INSPIRATIONAL!
Seems to me that we're much better off WITH it than withOUT it.
What, for instance, has Islam given the world besides terror and fear? Anybody see an Islamic Reformation on the horizon? -

Stopped to listen to a man sing Ave Maria in the Madrid subway. Guy was a professional opera singer down on his luck. Amazing how you could hear it for what seemed like miles underground.
