But of course the low-information voters that read this stuff and even some, well, relatively intelligent people think that what we're getting here is legitimate fact-checking. Now, here's a piece from Kelly Riddell.  I didn't print where this comes from.  This might be McClatchy. It's not McClatchy.  It might be Breitbart.  I don't think it's Breitbart. I'm sorry, I didn't print out the website. (interruption) They say it's a popular one. I know that. I just don't remember what it is.  But there are "Eight Examples Where 'Fact-Checking' Became Opinion Journalism." This is the whole point.  In fact, James Taranto -- who is a great blogger, The Best of the Web blog, part of the Wall Street Journal empire. James Taranto actually tweeted that fact-checking "is opinion journalism pretending to be some sort of heightened objectivity." That's even better because that's exactly right.  The Drive-Bys do their fact-checking under the guise that they have no bias whatsoever, that they're totally objective and they're looking at these claims and they're being the final arbiter with no bias whatsoever, and it's patent BS.  And so what Kelly Riddell has done here is give eight examples of supposed fact-checking which are really nothing more than attempts at opinion journalism.  The first one is from the New York Times [...] Amen I say unto you ... keep the faith.

You have a right to expect, and a candidate that’s on the up-and-up has no problem giving you the facts.” [Full] TAKE THIS TO THE BANK This is brilliant strategy.  All America know that Hillary Clinton is going to lose as many as 50 states in November.  Well, maybe not New York.  So what's going on here is this.  Tim Kaine's "gaff" positions him as the moderate to replace Hillary at the top of the ticket after she a) drops dead; b) falls into a coma, or 3)  voluntarily withdraws for health reasons.    When this happens Kaine, with the media doing cartwheels 24/7, will  leap and bound over Trump in the polls (and likely  win the election). The question is, will this happen before or after the scheduled debates? I'll guess after, because that gives Kaine the benefit of the doubt about his capabilities and allow the media to define them. At first I thought it a bit far-fetched.  But as I listened to him it began to make sense, scary sense... “I believe that Hillary Clinton will win the election in November,” Pete began. “Then, sometime between November and January, Hillary will be indicted. The IRS is now investigating the Clinton Foundation and the whole e-mail thing isn’t over yet.” “Once under indictment she won’t be able to assume the Office of the President in January. Tim Kaine, who will not actually be the Vice President because neither he nor Hillary have been inaugurated, cannot assume the Presidency.   The Speaker of the House can’t move up to it because there is already a sitting President and Vice President. So President Obama, in an Executive Order citing “emergency situation,” gives himself another four years in office is the only way possible.” Pete believes Obama has been planning this for a while now, knowing he has enough on Hillary to indict her. Had the Attorney General indicted her based on evidence from the FBI this plan wouldn’t have worked because the DNC would have quickly come up with another candidate If you think about it, it’s not that outrageous. Many people on the left, including the President, want Obama to stay another four years. The law prohibits him from being re-elected so the only ways he can do it is by declaring martial law and suspending the election (which would be a very negative thing for the country) or to declare himself still President because the elected candidate cannot assume her duties. The latter makes more sense and is actually more feasible. And since it’s never been done before, it would set a precedent that would be difficult to challenge. Of course, if Trump wins the election none of this is going to happen. But what if Pete is correct? Four more years of Obama and a mostly useless Republican House and Senate would give Obama the time he needs to continue destroying changing the country to fit his stated goals. Within a few weeks of the "hands up, don't shoot" narrative being broadcast as fact from every media outlet, we saw the video of the "gentle giant" robbing a store and roughing up the clerk shortly before his encounter with Officer Wilson. This was followed by extensive investigations by both a grand jury and a Department of Justice led by the most racist, anti-police attorney general we've ever had, Eric Holder. But even Holder's Justice Department had to concede the whole "hands up don't shoot" story was a bald-faced lie. Officer Wilson was completely cleared in the shooting of Mike Brown. As the investigations proved, Big Mike had violently assaulted Wilson, grabbed for his gun, and was charging the officer when Wilson shot and killed this raging behemoth. However half-heartedly, Hillary claims to oppose cop-killing, so why is she using her convention to promote the biggest lie in the pantheon of anti-cop lies, and to celebrate a man whose most famous act was to violently assault a police officer? Because of the despicable lies put out by BLM agitators, Wilson had to give up his career, move his family and will be forced to live in fear for the rest of his life. The town of Ferguson was destroyed, businesses burned to the ground, police officers attacked, people injured, the National Guard called in, and massive taxpayer money expended to contain the riots. But at the Democratic Convention, Lezley McSpadden (mother of Mike Brown) was wildly cheered. [FULL COULTER] A few days ago CNN’s Jake Tapper warned  Dems that they appeared politically tone deaf in their mockery of Donald Trump. What about their support for the violent cop killing BLM movement?  This issue all by itself will doom Democrats in November.  Are they really that stupid?  Or WHAT?
