I love this from An Idiot's blog. I view the now ubiquitous traffic cam as nothing more than an invasion of privacy, and revenue enhancer (tax). Any public official claiming their presence is designed to save lives is a dicklikking liar. The people cam is even worse.  Okay, the argument that "they allow us to take back our streets" has some validity.  But why did we lose those streets?  That's right. Incompetent and negligent government. The solution is quick, harsh treatment of lawbreakers, not surrendering our privacy. Clicking the picture will take you to a Brit website that celebrates the destruction of GATSOS. They need destroying, but the cameras are the serpent's tail.  The head is sitting in city hall, or the governor's mansion. BTW, 40 reasons to support gun control is a worthwhile read.
