JUST THINK HOW THIS YOUNG LADY FELT WHEN SHE DISCOVERED THE VIDEO HER FATHER SHOT.  Great video of a Spontaneous Victory Parade in Honolulu in 1945. Take a look at this video- absolutely  fabulous! Notice the cars and jeeps, youth. The guys in khaki or gray shirts and black ties are Navy officers or chiefs. The rest are Army or Marine. How young they all were to do what they did. This guy really captured a moment in history! (You can listen to Jimmy Durante singing "I'll be Seeing You" in the background, too) This is a super video of a time past - we need to remember and be THANKFUL. Check out the color fidelity. It's not bad for 1945. Nothing will ever compare with Kodachrome film.  Jodi ”

I just now converted this video to WMA (Windows Media Audio) for another purpose.  When I played it (on Windows Media Player) it— without so much as a by your-leave— identified this Imus in the Morning skit as " Patton: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack."  Another  example of Nanny For Hire; Stuck on Stupid and Dangerous. Anyway, I got a real kick out of rewatching it and so too might  you.

Since I use Google-owned Blogspot it's obligatory that I also have  Google-owned G-Mail.  I never use it, but  am swamped with comments  to  videos I post on Google-owned YouTube, which I also never read; I only delete. In the process of  ridding the current batch,  I somehow opened one.  It was from this guy telling me about his newest video.  I looked, and it's pretty entertaining.  I'd reply to him, so he knows I saw his comment, but I deleted it already.

“ This made me laugh this morning.  He definitely belongs under Why We Win.  We are good on this end.  Have our power and minimal damage.  To the left and to the right of us there were no deaths but homes were destroyed.   I guess the tornado skipped over our subdivision.  I can't even explain to you the devastation.  The path of this tornado is miles long.  Yesterday was the most surreal day as we helped people look for their loves ones.  Most were found dead.  Some are still missing.  I believe this is going to take a lot longer to build back from than most expect. Hopefully, we will show better and not be another Katrina.    jodi ”  Thanks jodi, for taking the time to share a bit of humor with us at a time like this. You have just personalized this tragedy for me, and my prayers go out to everyone who lost everything.  I'm overjoyed that y'all were spared.
