The Man Who Makes Sulzberger Look Good

.

What is possible to know is that in 2013, Bezos secured a $600 million deal with the CIA — more than twice what he paid for the Post itself that same year — to provide the agency with cloud services. Last Monday, the Post itself acknowledged that reality, revealing the service will be called Amazon Web Services Secret Region. In a statement posted by Amazon Web Services, CIA chief information officer John Edwards noted the development would be “a key component of the intel community’s multi-fabric cloud strategy.”

Bozo Bezos

Jeff Bezos is the richest man in the world, with a fortune now topping $100 billion, generated primarily by the astounding success of Amazon. Since 2013, he is also owner of The Washington Post, one of the most transparently anti-Trump newspapers in the nation. Bezos, Amazon and the Post are entitled to take whatever political positions they want. But Bezos’ relationship with the CIA is extremely troubling.

NEWS-WEAKIt’s no secret The Washington Post has force-fed America the idea that Donald Trump’s victory was the result of “collusion” between members of his campaign and the Russians, with the implication that Trump himself was involved. Consider the source, but columnist Glen Greenwald eviscerated one of its many stories on the subject, calling it “classic American journalism of the worst sort,” explaining that its “key claims are based exclusively on the unverified assertions of anonymous officials, who in turn are disseminating their own claims about what the CIA purportedly believes, all based on evidence that remains completely secret.”

That story — and the complete lack of journalistic integrity it demonstrated — was hardly an outlier. The Post published another piece so egregiously sloppy, Rolling Stone’s Matt Taibbi characterized it as an “astonishingly lazy report” that has “no analog that I can think of in modern times.” (Coming from Rolling Stone, that’s saying something.) It was about 200 websites the Post labeled as “routine peddlers of Russian propaganda.” Despite Post columnist Craig Timberg’s assertion there were independent teams of researchers making the claims, Taibbi reveals the meat of the report relied on an organization known as PropOrNot, which he describes as a group that offered “zero concrete evidence of coordination with Russian intelligence agencies.”

Zero critical skills have also been a staple at the paper. Post writer Adam Entous attempted to turn a joke made by House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) — “I think Putin pays Trump” — into another piece about Russian collusion. The Post also ran a discredited piece insisting Assistant U.S. Attorney General Rod Rosenstein threatened to resign. It was a lie about James Comey being fired after requesting more funds for investigations, and it was soon debunked by then-acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe. Then there was yet another deliberately misleading story about Trump “leaking” classified intel to the Russians — before the Post revealed that every president “has broad authority to declassify government secrets, making it unlikely that his disclosures broke the law” … in paragraph seven.

Post reporter Josh Rogin is in a class by himself. As The Daily Wire revealed last February, Rogin managed to get three major stories wrong in the space of only 10 days, two of which falsely perpetrated the Trump administration “chaos” narrative.

And last Friday it was revealed that ostensibly objective Post report ... [Full w/ Links]

"Kendi describes himself as a, “hardcore humanist and softcore vegan.”....I think he forgot useful idiot. "Fzob

BEZO-WaPost

As part of the publication’s series published Thursday called, “Fix this democracy—now, 38 ideas for repairing our badly broken civic life,” the Post featured author Ibram X. Kendi’s proposal for “A Constitutional Amendment On Equality.”

“The Anti-Bigotry Amendment would permanently establish a federal agency that investigates inequities and punishes institutional and individual discriminators. This Department of Equity would repair inequities caused by past discrimination.
Kendi writes that the United States needs, “an Anti-Bigotry Amendment that would constitutionalize a critical principle: Group inequity is evidence of discrimination.”

“The amendment would make group inequity illegal and ban the incitement of bigotry, as the incitement of anti-Semitism is banned in Germany. Claims that inequity is evidence of a group’s dysfunction or inferiority would be outlawed. The amendment would establish equality as a human right and inequality as anti-American and anti-human,” he continues, seemingly endorsing a crackdown on free speech.

Another idea was to “End American Arrogance,” by teaching everyone more about the past injustices of America “neuter the concept of American exceptionalism and perhaps temper American arrogance.”

CIA-Funded Washington Post Smears Indie Media For Covering DNC Fraud Lawsuit

The Washington Post, whose sole owner is both a CIA contractor and one of the wealthiest plutocrats of all time, has sent its Bezos-paid Ringwraiths after small independent reporters for having the temerity to talk about a lawsuit that had severe implications for the future of democracy in America.

“Control of thought is more important for governments that are free and popular than for despotic and military states,” says Noam Chomsky

WaPost Media

Back in May, comedian and Youtuber Jimmy Dore released a video titled “Washington Post Caught Blatantly Lying To Their Readers Yet Again” about one of the many, many deceptions that WaPo has been caught inflicting upon their unsuspecting audience.

Weigel’s whole piece revolved around his assigned task of discrediting alternative media, which is of course one of the most threatening enemies of the unelected power establishment that he works for.
Dore pointed out that while corporate media reporters have long served as guard dogs for the establishment, in today’s environment where plutocratic CIA contractors can openly buy up media to advance blatant propaganda, those reporters have now become attack dogs for the establishment.

As an example of this new breed of establishment attack dogs who go out of their way to smear and discredit all dissenting voices, Dore named amoral Bezos android Dave Weigel, who then spent months attacking both Dore and his writers.
...

Come the fuck on. Jeff Bezos is not paying conscience-free ghouls like Dave Weigel to tear apart anti-establishment media because he thinks it’s a booming business venture. Jeff Bezos did not purchase one of the most respected newspapers in America for less than half the price tag of his CIA contract because he loves you and wants you to know the truth about things. Jeff Bezos purchased the Washington Post because he knows that the empire that he is building his plutocratic kingdom upon needs a robust propaganda mouthpiece.

Hey Megyn; Show us your other boob

"Until Megyn Kelly, no prime-time Fox News anchor had tried to leap from partisan basic cable to the more pedigreed world of network news."

"... leap from partisan basic cable to the more pedigreed world of network news."

As she stands there with the NBC anchor who took hand signal instructions from Hillary Clinton while "moderating" her debate with (now President) Donald. Trump?

The big question is, which paper (NYT or WaPost) has disgraced itself more in the past year?  I think it's neck and neck.

"Yesterday's New York Times editorial ...

  • Mark Finkelstein: "Yesterday's New York Times editorial condemning the nomination of Neil Gorsuch, contained a stunning admission.  The Times wrote that, as was Scalia, Gorsuch is an [emphasis added] "originalist, meaning he interprets the Constitution’s language to mean what it was understood to mean when it was written — an approach that has led both men to consistently conservative results." And so the Times admits that if the Constitution is interpreted in accordance with the intentions of the Founders, the results would be "consistently conservative." The only way liberal judges can achieve their political ends is to ignore those intentions. They are compelled to call the Constitution a "living document" that means whatever they say it means. In doing so, they trash our most important national treasure in the name of politics.  At least we now have the liberal newspaper of record on the record, in essence admitting that."
