Dear American liberals, leftists ... My girlfriend MoSup sent me this "separation agreement" that's been around, in various forms, for a few years. It doesn't matter whether John J. Wall is the author, or even a real person.  What matters is that it resonated with so many people that it went, and is still going, viral. USA UAS USA Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al: We have stuck together since the late 1950's for the sake of the kids, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has clearly run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right for us all, so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way. Here is our separation agreement: --Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a similar portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes. --We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. --You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. --Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military. --We'll take the nasty, smelly oil industry and the coal mines, and you can go with wind, solar and biodiesel. --You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell. You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them. --We'll keep capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street. --You can have your beloved lifelong welfare dwellers, food stamps, homeless, homeboys, hippies, druggies and illegal aliens. --We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks. --We'll keep Bill O'Reilly, and Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood . --You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us. --You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security. --We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values. --You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, political correctness and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N. but we will no longer be paying the bill. --We'll keep the SUV's, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Volt and Leaf you can find. --You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. --We'll keep "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" and "The National anthem." --I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute "Imagine", "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing", "Kum Ba Ya" or "We Are the World". --We'll practice trickle-down economics and you can continue to give trickle up poverty your best shot. --Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag. THE SPY IN HANOI HILTON THE SPY IN THE HANOI HILTONuncovers the true story of POWs inside the Prison, known as the Hanoi Hilton, who created a high-level espionage operation that reached all the way to the CIA and the White House. This included sending radio transmissions to the Pentagon and President Nixon's White House during the brutal Christmas Bombings of 1972, signaling that POWs inside the Hanoi Hilton were still alive and that the raid should continue. The spy network was led by James Bond Stockdale, an air-wing commander who was shot down on a bombing mission into North Vietnam on Sept. 9, 1965. He was one of the two most senior-ranking U.S. Navy officers imprisoned in the Hanoi Hilton. Stockdale later rose to the rank of Vice Admiral, became one of the most highly decorated officers in the history of the Navy, and ran for Vice President. He was also awarded the Medal of Honor for his secret communication network and for bravery in the face of torture. Former CIA official Robert Wallace calls Stockdale's spy network "one of the most significant activities in Agency history." [Full] I missed this Smithsonian film that aired in April, and of course knew nothing about it.  One of the things that strikes me is, that while John McCain's capture is prominently mentioned, he himself is left completely out of the narrative here.  I find that telling.

I don't know Mr. Clement, but I imagine he looks something like this As a staunch supporter of the right of the people to keep and bear arms, even in this age of WMD, I think I have found a small foothold on the slippery slope of gun control where I might safely and permanently stand.  I offer a proposition.    Whereas the purpose of the military is defense against foreign enemies, and    Whereas the purpose of the police is enforcement of domestic law, and    Whereas a  government is despotic which turns its military against its people, and    Whereas a despotic government no longer operates with the consent of the governed, Now, therefore, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall be limited only to the extent that these same limitations apply to all police forces having jurisdiction over the citizen. Simply draw up a list of that subset of weaponry which the police may use,  and you  have a list of authorized weaponry for the common citizen. Teachers Strike Back at the Union!

ThugBama                       DON'T TREAD On US Is Back! “ Maryland Teachers Union Strikes Back As previously reported on NetRightDaily.com, the Wicomico County Education Association (WCEA) is scheduled to hold a vote on April 28th and 29th on changes to the teachers association bylaws, removing the WCEA’s mandatory association with the state union.  Needless to say, the MSEA isn’t going let this vote happen without consequences. In response to the impending vote, loyalists to the state union secretly entered the WCEA’s offices, changed the locks and security codes, altered office equipment, and fired the WCEA’s sole employee, all in violation of the law and the governing documents of the WCEA, according to WCEA leadership. This response is akin to the bully tactics of a neighborhood gangster after a local business misses its latest “protection” payment—but instead of “protection” extortion, the state union is ensuring that it won’t lose county teachers’ annual dues in excess of $500,000. It appears the MSEA is making an example of Wicomico Country teachers, lest any other small county teachers decide they don’t need to pay half a million dollars or more to a politically-charged, scandal-ridden state union. RIP Jim Caesar

James M. Caesar December 11, 1945 - February 13, 2014 Bothell, Washington  Good morning--my update this time is a difficult one for me to write.  My darling Jim died in his sleep early the morning of February 14th while we were on Kauai to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our engagement on that day.  He was in excellent health, vigorous and full of good humor until the very end.  His final words to me before we went to sleep were "I love you."  He just did not awaken. It gives me great solace to know that he will be forever young.  Jim's funeral and internment will be at Arlington Cemetery, with full military honors.  However, it will be some months down the road--there is a waiting list for grave sites abt 4 months long.  Until then, his rests in a facility known as a  the Solders' Shelter which is near Arlington.  I will of course be back there for the final ceremonies--perhaps I can see you at that time.  And you are of course welcomed and encouraged by me and my family to attend.  I will send more information when it is available to me.  Jim and I so much cherished the opportunity life gave us to be your neighbors--what luck!  Love,  Betsy Awarded for actions during the Vietnam War The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Captain James M. Caesar, United States Army, for heroism while participating in aerial flight evidenced by voluntary actions above and beyond the call of duty. Captain Caesar distinguished himself by exceptionally valorous actions while serving as aircraft commander in the wing ship of a light fire team of helicopter gunships in support of Allied ground elements near Fire Support Base Five. Captain Caesar voluntarily flew his aircraft against heavily fortified enemy small arms and anti-aircraft positions. Despite the intense barrage of fire, Captain Caesar continually made close runs, in extremely poor visibility and hazardous terrain, to place highly effective and accurate rocket fire on the hostile positions. Captain Caesar displayed outstanding leadership abilities, directing his co-pilot's fire to suppress the enemy positions and at the same time covering the vulnerable lead aircraft. His previous combat experience enabled him to comprehend the friendly elements plight and assist them in finding cover from the attacking enemy. His outstanding skill as an aviator allowed him to successfully complete the mission. Captain Caesar's courage, professionalism, and devotion to duty were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit and the United States Army. General Orders: Citation Courtesy of the Distinguished Flying Cross Society - www.dfcsociety.org Action Date: Vietnam War Service: Army Rank: Captain Mo Sup checked her e-mail late last night and found this from an old neighbor, and still good friend, Betsy Caesar.  I still haven't quite wrapped my head around it. Meeting Jim and Betsy was something of a serendipitous accident. With Jim's tour in Germany ending, he announced his intention to retire when his current enlistment was up.  He had to choose a stateside home of record from whence he would be processed, and where their household belongings would be sent. Since they were from the Seattle area, Jim wrote "Washington."  Jim was given orders to report to his new home: Fort Meade MD (just outside of Washington D.C.) Jim found a job test piloting, and they purchased a home next to ours.  Our good fortune.  Later Jim was offered a job with Boeing, in Seattle, and off they went, but would visit us several times. I can't let Jim go without offering this small paean to his memory.  RIP Jim.

So I'm sitting here doing the  Best exotic marigold hotel post and I keep hearing noises.  Then I hear muffled voices.  I figure I left the iPad running some movie.  Then I hear scraping on the porch.  (I have 20-200 hearing) The snow weighed about 60 pounds a shovel full, and wore me out after a few hours  I was only able to get less than half the driveway done, and none of the sidewalks  when I remembered I had to check something inside.  I came in and did some deep contemplating for about 3 hours. By then it was snowing again. Screw it. I'll finish tomorrow. I opened the door,  and this!  HMOG! The sight of black driveway, and cleared sidewalks! did not compute.   Without asking ... "What are you doing?" "We're shoveling your driveway." "But, why?" Because we wanted to." Seconds of flummoxed silence "I'll pay you" "You don't have to." "I want to." Went in, got some money and gave it to him "Is that your brother?" "No, he's my friend," and he ran over to give him his cut. I am still flummoxed.  It's stuff I would have done as a kid.  Just overcome by this act of kindness.  By neighborhood yoots.  It's why we win.  USA UAS USA.

Vajayjay Culture “ The 'fallen' were left to be washed away by the tide at the end of the day A pair of British artists have created this stunning installation of 9,000 silhouettes on a D-Day Landings beach to mark international Peace Day. The project, named, 'The Fallen' is a tribute to the civilians, German forces and Allies who lost their lives during the Operation Neptune landing on June 6, 1944. The design was the brainchild of Jamie Wardley, 33, and Andy Moss, 50. Together with a team of volunteers the pair travelled to Arromanches beach, Normandy, to create the silhouettes, which were individually drawn into the sand. [Full] "Peace Day" sophistry aside, this is an excellent companion piece to the opening 30 minutes of "Saving Private Ryan." We are so used to the hyperbolical use of numbers that it takes pictures like those to drive home the horror of D-Day beaches, and 9000 casualties. A curmudgeonly aside.  It is my misfortune that MoSup watches the Today Show each  morning.  Before I could skedaddle today, I was treated to  Matt Lauer 's segment "Zimmerman's wife holds her ground."  Evidently she is filing for divorce from the beast because, who knows; he broke the iPad with her evidence. She did mention that she'd  "lost 40 pounds, " and was ready to "move on."  Right.  Anyway, Lauer did his damnedest to get her to say that he lied about "targeting" the Trayvon thug, to no avail.  They just will not give up on this. But here's the linkage to Normandy. I can see a  1940's Matt Lauer interviewing widows and mothers  every morning about how they feel about the death of their husband/son.  "In retrospect, do you  feel it was worth the loss of your loved one for this cause?"   Because that's what they've done during every war since Vietnam.  And it's why women feel that Liberals have their six. Roy Benavidez

Roy Benavidez was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his actions West of Loc Ninh, South Vietnam in May of 1968. When word that a squad was pinned down by enemy fire Roy Benavidez immediately volunteered to exact their rescue. During the course of the effort he subjected himself to constant enemy fire and suffered numerous injuries, but still led the remaining soldiers to protect and defend their position even after their first rescue helicopter was shot down. I truly do not remember the last time I experienced full body chill like I did watching this. Reached its apex the moment Ronald Reagan began speaking.  Like Ron "I Metzer in St Louis" impertinently instructed me, "Watch it!  That's an Order."
