BAIT & SWITCH

   NEVER TRUST ...

FKN RINOs

Here's the text of the pledge which was signed by all of the Republican candidates:

I (name) affirm that if I do not win the 2016 Republican nomination for president of the United States I will endorse the 2016 Republican presidential nominee regardless of who it is. I further pledge that I will not seek to run as an independent or write-in candidate nor will I seek or accept the nomination for president of any other party.

In March of this year, Cruz reaffirmed that pledge.

"My answer is the same," Politico reported Cruz told reporters when asked if he would support Trump. "I committed at the outset, I will support the Republican nominee, whoever it is."

Cruz is not along in violating the pledge. Joining the Texas Senator are former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, and Ohio Governor John Kasich.

Ohio's Gov Kasich went on to trumphet: Trump probably can't win Ohio

Jeb Bush said, with great venality, that

  • "Donald Trump has not demonstrated that temperament or strength of character. He has not displayed a respect for the Constitution. And, he is not a consistent conservative. These are all reasons why I cannot support his candidacy.
Ravings of petulant losers.

Richard Cordray Cancer

Federal Courts Must Enforce Limits OnPresident's Appointment Powers

“Judge Ellen Huvelle ruled in State National Bank of Big Springs v. Lew that Cordray, after finally receiving Senate confirmation, could simply wave a magic wand and retroactively approve all of his unauthorized acts.

No one any longer contests that President Barack Obama acted in excess of his constitutional powers when, on January 4, 2012—a day on which the Senate was not in recess—he purported to grant a recess appointment to Richard Cordray to head the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Yet, in a troubling decision issued last week, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia indicated that it was of no moment that for a period of 18 months Cordray, although no more than a private citizen, issued dozens of significant decisions in the name of CFPB.

Judge Ellen Huvelle ruled in State National Bank of Big Springs v. Lew that Cordray, after finally receiving Senate confirmation, could simply wave a magic wand and retroactively approve all of his unauthorized acts. That decision eviscerates the Constitution’s explicit limitations on the President’s appointment powers and encourages future Presidents to disregard those limitations.

The Appointments Clause Violation

President Obama attempted to make several recess appointments on January 4, 2012, including Cordray’s as well as several appointments to fill vacant slots on the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). The Supreme Court disapproved President Obama’s efforts in NLRB v. Noel Canning, ruling unanimously that the recess appointments were unauthorized because the Senate remained in session on that date.

So what to do about official actions taken by the improperly appointed officials?

NLRB and CFPB adopted diametrically opposed approaches. NLRB carefully reconsidered each of its actions taken while the recess-appointed members were purporting to serve on its five-member board, and ultimately issued new decisions.

In sharp contrast, CFPB’s Cordray simply rubber-stamped every action he took during the 18 months (from January 2012 to July 2013) that he improperly exercised authority.

Kerry "DUHBY"

Secretary of State John Kerry has said that terrorism is a more dangerous global threat than climate change, according to the Washington Examiner.

"Let me just say that one of the greatest challenges of our times besides the fight against extremism is to deal with the enormous battle of climate change," Kerry said in Denmark, perhaps indicating that he is changing course from earlier pronouncements that climate change is the greater threat.
"The threat of climate change is, without question, one of the defining if not the defining challenge — I'd probably give violent extremism — the defining threat of a generation, and it is a challenge that everybody has to approach with urgency," Kerry said while in Norway.

Even bigger than a President Trump?
Kerry is just too, too special.

When Mexico Threatens ...

                                           Mexican Invaders

The President of Mexico threatened at the world economic summit grave consequences if Trump gets the Presidential seat: all the Mexicans in the USA will be going back home to Mexico.

And in case you’re reading this, Mr. Trump – yes, that does include Mexican prostitutes you’re so secretly fond of. So, you can forget about the Sunday night specials with all-you-can-undress free deals. Because, we know everything.”
The Mexican government announced they will close their borders to Americans in the event that Donald Trump is elected President of the United States. President Enrique Peña Nieto announced the country fears Americans will flood their country and bring violence and chaos to their streets. “Many Americans have expressed a desire to relocate to our country in the event that Donald Trump becomes President. We cannot have Mexico flooded with criminals and rapists,” he said.

In an interview with Telemundo, Nieto also announced that “further action will be taken by the Mexican government to ensure every single citizen of Mexico currently residing in the United States is brought home safely.” “We will not play around with something as important as the lives of our people. In our eyes and the eyes of every Mexican in the world, Donald Trump is a xenophobic, bigoted terrorist and imperialist who will ruin a country that was once a true friend of Mexico.”

Mexico’s President Enrique Pena Nieto must think he's addressing G.W. Bush with this bizarrely idle "threat."

Pre-planned mass murder

Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 was likely steered into the sea intentionally, by its own captain, in a pre-planned mass murder-suicide, a new report reveals.

In an exclusive story posted online Friday, New York magazine says that the plane’s captain, Zaharie Ahmad Shah, “conducted a simulated flight deep into the remote southern Indian ocean less than a month before the plane vanished under uncannily similar circumstances.”

The story cites as its source a confidential document from the Malaysian police investigation.

It took the FBI to discover the grim news of the captain’s apparent suicide test runs, the magazine said. [FULL]

NYT HATE

They Hatin'

They didn’t riot in the streets of Cleveland, as Donald Trump said his supporters would do had things not gone his way. But you saw the raw essence of a riot, the madness and loss of reason, on display in four days of chaos at the Republican National Convention.

For a campaign now devoted to “law and order,” the launch was mob rule: in spirit, in tone, in words. Long after we’ve forgotten Trump’s closing speech — that paean to self, that nightmare portrait of an America where the lights have gone out — we will remember the savagery just below the surface.

Starting on night one, when Republicans chose to manipulate the grief-deranged mother of a terrorist victim, the build-up to the hanging of Hillary Clinton was never subtle. Imagine if one party had exploited a widow of one of the 241 service members killed in the 1983 suicide bombing of Americans in Beirut — the deadliest single attack on marines since World War II — as a stick against Ronald Reagan, whose administrative negligence was much to blame.

You can’t imagine. Because nothing about this Republican Party, whose leader now stands ready to repudiate nearly 70 years of security for our European allies under an “America First” banner, even remotely resembles the Grand Old Party of before. You could not find a City on a Hill, a single Point of Light, no Morning in America. Only doom, dystopia, dread, darkness — and a bumper-sticker solution to restoring greatness.  [FULL]
New York Times.  One difference though.  When is the last time the Times did not promote and endorse the eventual winning GOP candidateuntil he was the candidate?  Otherwise, run of the mill for the Gray Lady.  Note that in the side bar they tout the editorial "Restoring the Right to Vote in Texas."  Even if they didn't finish the sentence with "for illegal aliens." So, Newt was right.  We are at war, and not just against homeland terrorists; includes their enablers and agitpropists.

Gay Gene?

Dr. McHugh, who ended the sexual reassignment surgery program at Johns Hopkins because it was not helping the patients, answered, “Well, as I have said, there is no gay gene. And there are factors more influential than biology.”

“The best data, of course, [comes from the Framingham Study],” said Dr. McHugh.  “If you are a man and you grow up in a rural environment, you are four times less likely to have homosexual relationships than if you grow up in a metropolitan area. That's not left-handedness.”

“If you are a lesbian, you are much more likely to be college-educated,” he said.  “That's not something that happens at conception.”

“My point is that we now know that the environment is very important,” said Dr. McHugh.

I'm not convinced that this is entirely  or even partially  true,  but it's out there.  Don't get me started on "transgender"  though.

During MSNBC’s coverage of the RNC on Thursday night, anchor Chris Matthews stated that the phrase “law and order” “carries a racial tone to it.”

Matthews said, “[W]hy did he use the phrase with all its implications and attitude, ‘law and order.’ He didn’t say, ‘Let’s enforce the law.’ He did that once, most of it was the phrase ‘law and order,’ that was so Nixonian. I think that carries a racial tone to it. And by the way, safe schools, the reason we’re going to have vouchers and charter schools is not for better education, but to get the kids away from the bad neighborhoods.

Fellow anchor Joy Reid added, “And the Johnson amendment. A lot these were signals that people in the audience, on the right would understand, I’m going to let the churches get directly involved in elections. Remember, the Johnson amendment was about some of the white churches in the South that were inveighing against the Civil Rights Act. That too has a racial tone.”

Matthews added, “The Christian academies, which were created so they wouldn’t have a public school.” [Full]

Cruz and Dear Leader?

this just in

This photo was sent to D.C. Whispers via a pro-Donald Trump Facebook group.

It is alleged to have been taken prior to the memorial service for the recently slain Dallas police officers at the hands of a Black Lives Matter-inspired domestic terrorist. Ted Cruz is shown walking behind Mr. and Mrs. Obama, Valerie Jarrett, and directly in front of a woman who appears to be Hillary Clinton via a flight on Air Force One from D.C. to Dallas.

D.C. Whispers readers can decide for themselves what to make of this. An innocent acceptance of a free plane ride with the current and potential future globalist power players, or something else? Mr. Cruz refused to endorse Donald Trump, but spent hours in a plane with those working to destroy America from the inside out? Potentially troubling implications to be sure…

It certainly fits with my analysis that our government has been one big "con" for 25 years.

Cruz Self Immolates

—  You Utter Berk

That Moment When Ted Cruz Doused Himself With Gasoline and Lit the Match

“Forget the non endorsement, that’s not the issue. Senator Cruz had a remarkable opportunity, he blew it. Cruz accepted an invitation to speak to the GOP convention then insulted the audience. Cruz couldn’t rise above his own brutal ego and petty selfishness. The arrogance simply went too far, he humiliated himself in front of millions.

Of all the words written about Cruz's faux pas (to be polite), Breitbart sums it up best.  In any other year I suspect  I would be a Cruz man at this point,  but what he did was accept a dinner invitation and then insult this host in front of family. Low class.
