CIA1 - America 0

In the matter of an insubordinate CIA, Bush is no Reagan. No Truman either.
' The CIA 1--Bush 0 '
The age of reform ends after 18 months.
That Caption from Stephen Hayes Weekly Standard article pretty much says it all. Well, no it doesn't.  Quite.
PORTER GOSS'S TENURE as director of central intelligence began with a public spat between the new reform-minded CIA leadership and an intransigent bureaucracy. Now, 18 months later, it is ending in a cloud of confusion. Goss is gone and so are his agents of change. Two of the CIA officials at the heart of that opening battle--Mary Margaret Graham and Stephen Kappes--have been promoted. And the old guard is happy.
Now it does.  The President evidently has thrown in the towel. If the Republic could ooze historical enthusiasm for the way Truman fired Gen.  MacArthur,  for supposed insubordination, how can this be squared away? Of course, behind it all is the crushing volume of lies, disinformation,  and attacks from the Donk media that have Bush, and yes the nation,  on the defensive.  We can see how things are developing. Still,  I will ask the President the same thing I would ask you.  If you made a list of things that threatened the very heart of the nation - things that would force you to rebel against your own government, if necessary, where on that list does all this fall?  Mr. President.

This is interesting...

Cause some others are saying this means the President is trying to get tougher with the CIA.

But Mr. Hayes knows his stuff...

Lt. General Michael Hayden seems pretty solid.

I see a TEXAS connection, but I note this Guy ran the National Security Agency, tapping terrorist phone calls, maybe he will make liberals even more nuts.
