And just whom is the sofa tuber in question, hmmm?
How many of us know what an Immelman is and from whence it came?

It's probably rhetorical, but I'll bite. The Immelman turn was reportedly invented by the WWI flyer Max Immelman. It involves a half-loop, half roll, so that the aircraft executing an Immelman turn ends up on a reverse course, flying level. For those requiring an animated diagram, see http://www.furball.warbirdsiii.com/krod/ACM-immelman.html
I was privileged to be riding front seat in an SNJ last summer when the pilot performed an Immelman.
