Bogus.

Way too much not-funny SNL stuff, and not a thing from the Carol Burnett show.

It looks like the authors amused themselves for a few hours looking up old clips from Monty Python, SNL, and Kids in the Hall, and decided to make a list out of it.

Case in point-- Nairobi Trio: not even a giggle here.

I repeat-- bogus.

"not a thing from the Carol Burnett show."

Wrong Buckwheat. At #22

"Carol Burnett and her cast (including Tim Conway, Harvey Korman and Vicki Lawrence) had comic genius to spare, but many of the variety show's laughs were generated solely by Bob Mackie's over-the-top costumes. The team's best visual gag came during this Gone With the Wind parody: "

Wow Rog, I thought I was the only one that remembered the curtian rod. And dont forget Tim Conway and the siamese elephants. Or Foster Brooks and Dean Martin.

My dear wife spent years wondering where I learned how to deliver zingers and one liners with a totally deadpan delivery. Then one day she saw a clip show from the Carol Burnett Show. Suddenly she sat straight up in her chair and said "Oh My God, you learned how to tell jokes from watching Tim Conway!"

Easily one of the five all time funniest sketches was Red Skelton going on for 5 minutes on the proper way to eat day old craft service donuts. Red discusses how to eat the donuts, Why to eat the donuts and proper etiquette while eating the donuts, all while eating about 10 donuts. Unfortunately I don't have and can't find a video of it.

All in all I agree, way to much SNL on this list. SNL was hilarious for about 5 years, then it turned stupid, with occasional flashes of funny.

Social observation: Call anything the "BEST," and people will grouse (me too).

I'd have called this "50 Decent Comedy Sketches That Are Free Dammit.

I stand corrected. They did sneak a Burnett clip in the middle there, where I'd given up hope of finding anything really funny.

Dittos about the elephant story.

I've read and agree with much of the various comments here. Carol Burnett show was awesome and the Gone With the Wind was super funny w/the curtain rod gown. However...this skit with Darrel Hammond doing Sean Connery, makes me laugh so much, I need to use an inhaler. stg, the efn funniest ever skit. I love the heck out of it!!! For me. It's timeless.
