In 1921,the Listerine advertising group created the faux medical term "chronic halitosis" to help sell their mouthwash to combat bad breath....The business became a raging success after that time...(Toothpaste came later)....I always thought the word halitosis was some ancient Greek word or something....Lots of products were originally sold as patent medicines.... 7UP Angostura Bitters
