H.R.45
Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009 (Introduced in House)
http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:H.R.45:
Senate Bill SB-2099 will require us to put on our 2009 1040 federal tax form all guns that you have or own. It may require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun

How 'bout that Change You Can Believe In, eh?

Slide these babies in under the radar...

Jeez... not that old chestnut again. HR 2099 was first introduced in 2002, never made it out of committee (i.e. it was stillborn).

It has been reintroduced every year since then, and has NEVER ONCE made it onto the committee agenda for discussion, let alone up for committee vote.

I think it was introduced as a fund-raising gimmick by the NRA, because they must have raised THOUSANDS of dollars by talking it up each year.

Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009

Introduced, NO sponsors, the idiot who sponsored this has sponsored other legislation which got about as much attention as a gnat's fart in a hurricane.

Quit believing every bogus e-mail you get. Do the research first.

I didn't mention HR2009, it was HR45. I did do enough research to go read some of the text that describe the bill, and looked at S2009 to see what it was about.
Howinhell am I spozta know whether a bill has a pile of sponsors or is put up by the Lone Ranger?
