The Obama administration is expected as early as Monday to formally declare carbon dioxide a dangerous pollutant.

An "endangerment" finding by the Environmental Protection Agency could pave the way for the government to require businesses that emit carbon dioxide and five other greenhouse gases to make costly changes in machinery to reduce emissions -- even if Congress doesn't pass pending climate-change legislation. EPA action to regulate emissions could affect the U.S. economy more directly, and more quickly, than any global deal inked in the Danish capital, where no binding agreement is expected. - Stroke of the pen .  [Business Fumes Over Carbon Dioxide Rule]

Then that would mean it is potentially illegal to exhale.

Chuck - only without wearing the soon-to-be-issued government metering mask which will measure your emissions for your tax bill.

Maybe we could get a law passed to prevent the use of any government vehicles. Especially Air Force One. Can't have the government setting a bad example. Maybe get congress to stop speaking and breathing. The only government vehicles to be allow to move would be nuclear powered carriers.

Did anyone at the EPA take science in grade school? Carbon dioxide is the first item in the world's food chain.

Is it possible to be any more stupid than Obama and everyone in his administration?

Those pussies in D.C. could turn the E.P.A. into nothing but a yearly supply of toilet paper for one cleaning staff. One funding vote and it would be done.

Anony asks: "Is it possible to be any more stupid than Obama and everyone in his administration?"

The normal answer would be, No, it is not possible to be more than completely stupid.

The correct answer is, Oh yes, this crowd has three more years. They're still warming up.

I'm waiting for some enterprising attorney to initiate a class-action suit on behalf of Earth's vegetation, claiming that the AGW crowd is endangering their food source. I'm just a music teacher, but it seems to me that there's a potential gold mine there.

FWIW, the law the EPA is 'enforcing' requires that they control all emissions of any substance that is declared dangerous. In their wisdom, they have taken it upon them self to only pay attention to those sources that meet some arbitrary amount.
In other words, they plan to selectively enforce their rules. Which is not allowed by law...
On the other hand, all Congrefs has to do is write a one sentence law that the EPA cannot control emissions of Carbon Dioxide.
Wonder if there will be a special tax on carbonated drinks?? Pure CO2, baby...

Lujan v. Defenders of Wildlife, 504 U.S. 555 (1992) and Sierra Club v. Morton, 405 U.S. 727 (1972)
say there isn't a gold mine. Gotta' have standing. Despite what William O. Douglas said, plants and animals can't sue.
