Fix Bayonets

"If we can't get everything we want out of health care reform and climate change, then we will have to take what we can and hope that we can get 'net neutrality' legislation passed. - Nutroots Nation conference

I think the storm done gathered.

Yes, net neutrality. While the health care debate and fight over cap and trade and stimulus spending have garnered the bulk of the American public's attention, some conservatives believe the Obama administration and Democrats' attempts to regulate the Internet deserves equal attention, given the grave threat they represent to free speech and conservatives' ability to organize and mobilize politically.

During the last day the House was in session before leaving for its August recess, Rep. Ed Markey's staff introduced HR 3458, the so-called "Internet Freedom Preservation Act," which would essentially enable government control of the Internet, treating the networks as a government-managed utility. (For more information about "net neutrality," read this interview that one of the key "net neutrality" supporters gave to a Canadian socialist publication.) The Markey legislation is considered the last piece of what some conservatives consider to be Democrat and progressive attempts to control the Internet and limit citizens' ability to use the networks to organize and oppose their agenda.

The bill was introduced the same week it was revealed that the Obama Commerce Department was demanding from the phone and cable companies highly detailed data about private citizens' Internet and broadband connections as part of plans of "map" broadband networks across the country.

It was also revealed the White House had put in place a plan to collect email addresses of citizens who opposed the administration's health reform proposal, and then last week we learned that the Obama administration had negotiated deals with companies like Google and YouTube to collect and provide citizens' personal data, such as ... please continue "Nothing But Net Neutrality" .
This is what it was like in December 1941.  The Japs bombed Pearl Harbor, invaded the Philippines, seized Guam, invaded Burma, sank American merchant ships, invaded Hong Kong, Germany declares war on us  ... .  JFC! Will  the slimy bastids ever stop coming?  These Obamunists are no different.  Maniacal hordes led by prick zealots whose mission in life is to destroy and dominate the United States.  It's not enough that God and Superman hate their guts, we have to do this ourselves. Again.

Amir mistakenly consummated with the maid of honor - his sister!  Her husband, the bride's brother, and his new brother-in-law was then obligated to have her stoned to death, and behead Amir for adultery. His sister killed herself out of grief.  The question then arose; could he keep all the toasters? That's what I see.

Illegal Immigrants are the problem

Here's your health care reform
Dialysis for immigrants drives hospital into debt
Yo Bama, no;  Yo salgo, si.
A Las Vegas hospital providing emergency dialysis services to 80 illegal immigrants says that accounts for much of its operating deficit.

"Our people are really torn," Brannman told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. "We want to take care of people who are ill. We're proud that we can save lives. But our employees are also worried about the survival of UMC. They know that the appetite of taxpayers for helping undocumented immigrants is limited."

The cost of providing dialysis to illegal immigrants doubled last year, with twice as many seeking the treatment two or three times a week, officials said.

UMC professionals say taxpayer-supported hospitals are strained to the breaking point and need to be part of the discussion on how to reform the nation's health care system. If this problem isn't solved, they say, others can expect to wait longer or pay more for their own emergency services.
Houston Chron comments run along this line (surprise)
Then Dr. Carrison, call ICE and have them all rounded up and bussed back over the border. Let Mexico and all the rest take care of their OWN people. Why do WE the American Citizens have to suffer while Mexico floods our Nation with Illegals?

Boxer could face re-election fight
of her career against Fiorina

"Do me a favor, could you not accentuate the wrinkles and lines in my leathery face? It's just a thing, I worked so hard to Botox them out. Thank you."
Democrat Barbara Boxer's quest for a fourth term in the U.S. Senate may give Californians a chance to pass judgment on Washington in the Obama era: Do voters approve of the early performance of the Democratic president and Congress? Or is it time to restore more power to Republicans, in this case to a controversial former Silicon Valley CEO making her first run for elective office?

Fiorina would bring a combination of traits to the race never faced before by Boxer: She is a woman with the wherewithal to pump millions of her own dollars into her candidacy and probably raise millions more from others. And historically, the election after a president first takes office has not been kind to the party in charge at the White House. Exhibit A is 1994, when Democrats lost control of Congress halfway into President Bill Clinton's first term.

In this case, analysts say, the 2010 California Senate election is expected to be at least partly a referendum on the policies of Obama and the Democratic Congress — from health care to immigration to climate change. And as chairman of the Senate committee

Duke Talks Sense - for a change

A Duke Professor Explains What
the Health Care Bill Actually Says

As heard on Rushbo, John David Lewis,  a professor of classics at Duke University, read the entire 1017 pages of HR 3200, Obama's 'America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009, [For the children and good for Climate Change]'  Here's some of his findings.  For those who don't like suspense, the last paragraph in this, or any critique of Obama, reads "So, he lied."

2.                  Will the plan punish Americans who try to opt out?

What the bill says, pages 167-168, section 401, TAX ON INDIVIDUALS WITHOUT ACCEPTABLE HEALTH CARE COVERAGE:

‘‘(a) TAX IMPOSED.—In the case of any individual who does not meet the requirements of subsection (d) at any time during the taxable year, there is hereby imposed a tax equal to 2.5 percent of the excess of—

(1) the taxpayer’s modified adjusted gross income for the taxable year, over

(2) the amount of gross income specified in section 6012(a)(1) with respect to the taxpayer. . . .”

1.      This section amends the Internal Revenue Code.

2.      Anyone caught without acceptable coverage and not in the government plan will pay a special tax.

3.      The IRS will be a major enforcement mechanism for the plan.

Rahm "Three fingers" Emanuel

On being ruled by fanatics

"At a dinner to celebrate Bill Clinton's first presidential victory [Rahm Emanuel] began to reel off the names of those who had 'crossed' him. He grabbed a steak knife and began plunging it into the table shouting "Dead! Dead! Dead!" after each name.

"When he was done the table looked like a lunar landscape," a witness relates. "It was like something out of The Godfather. But that's Rahm for you."  [Article]

Number 8 on this American Thinker Array of 12 WH ObamaCare Tactics  :
Pretend to give up on controversial issues that were never acknowledged in the first place.  We've heard that the alleged Senate bill has omitted the controversial "death committee" provision that was never acknowledged to have existed in the first place. This offers the illusion of compromise.
The last sentence asks "So what other tactics are yet to be deployed? "
Answer: 8a. Pretend to give up on controversial issues, but don't.
An administration official said tonight that Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius "misspoke" when she told CNN this morning that a government run health insurance option "is not an essential part" of reform.
Linda Douglass, director of health reform communications for the administration, said that President Obama believed that a public option was the best way to reduce costs and promote competition among insurance companies, that he had not backed away from that belief, and that he still wanted to see a public option in the final bill.

"Nothing has changed.," she said. "The President has always said that what is essential that health insurance reform lower costs, ensure that there are affordable options for all Americans and increase choice and competition in the health insurance market. He believes that the public option is the best way to achieve these goals." [Administration Official: "Sebelius Misspoke."]
Obama has surrounded himself with idiots like Biden, Napolitano, Geithner, blah-blah, and this from Sebelius will I think cost him dearly.  That Drudge headline signaling victory for the American people is the last thing millions saw last night, on the subject of Obamacare.  This "mistake" will cause great disappointment, and resonate as anther clusterfork from the gang who can't talk straight.
