Revolutionary times

The danger to the country this time around is that the Left has so destroyed the old protocols of the opposition party that it will be hard to resurrect them when progressives return to power.

We are entering revolutionary times. The law is no longer equally applied. The media are the ministry of truth. The Democratic party is a revolutionary force. And it is all getting scary.

SCROLL

As the Resistance goes from one ploy to the next, it ignores its string of failed prior efforts, forgetting everything and learning nothing….

Anti- and Never-Trump op-ed writers have long ago run out of superlatives. Trump is the worst, most, biggest — fill in the blank — in the history of the presidency, in the history of the world, worse even than Mao, Mussolini, Stalin, or Hitler….

Everything from the NFL to late-night comedy shows have become Trump-hating venues….

Insidiously and incrementally, we are in the process of normalizing violence against the elected president of the United States
Each cycle of hysteria demands another, as the race to the bottom has descended into which celebrity or politician can discover the most provocative — or crude — Trump expletive. “S***” and “f***” are now the ordinary vocabulary of angry Democratic politicos and officeholders. Are we reaching a point in the so-far-failed Resistance where little is left except abject violence in the manner of the Roman or French Revolution? The problem for Trump’s pop-culture foes is not whether to imagine or advocate killing the president. That’s a given. They just need to agree on the means of doing so: decapitation (Kathy Griffin), incineration (David Crosby), stabbing (the Shakespeare in the Park troupe), shooting (Snoop Dogg), explosives (Madonna), old-fashioned, Lincoln-style assassination (Johnny Depp), death by elevator (Kamala Harris), hanging (a CSU professor), or simple generic assassination (a Missouri state legislator)….

Insidiously and incrementally, we are in the process of normalizing violence against the elected president of the United States. If all this fails to delegitimize Trump, fails to destroy his health, or fails to lead to a 2018 midterm Democratic sweep and subsequent impeachment, expect even greater threats of violence. The Resistance and rabid anti-Trumpers have lost confidence in the constitutional framework of elections, and they’ve flouted the tradition by which the opposition allows the in-power party to present its case to the court of public opinion…..

[FULL]

I've pretty much ignored the daily news clutter.  Today's news is a carbon copy continuation of last year's media screech that Hillary is unbeatable when common sense told me that most of us hate her guts.  There was no doubt in my mind that Trump was the right candidate - the only acceptable candidate- and would prevail. So, all this crap about the Dems taking over Congress and impeaching Trump is, well, more mind control crap.  Trump will win again, because we are not a stupid people.

However ...

Hanson is quit right in saying, "the Left have so destroyed the old protocols of the opposition party that it will be hard to resurrect them when progressives return to power".

There have been acts of high treason, and attempts to overthrow our government.  Those behind it must be made to pay the price. Chop-Chop.

40 out of 9000 members ....

When President Obama took office, he gave journalists great hope by promising unprecedented transparency. The reality has proven to be eight years of slippage in nearly every facet of openness. As the president prepares to leave office, the Society of Professional Journalists have noted the disappointing shortfalls.

Forty journalism and open-government groups sent a letter to White House press secretary Josh Earnest* in September after he called for journalists to give the president credit for improvements in government transparency. The Society of Professional Journalists and other groups have “repeatedly outlined to the administration various ways in which transparency has gotten worse” including:
  • Officials’ blocking reporters’ requests to talk to specific people
  • Excessive delays in answering interview requests, stretching past reporters’ deadlines
  • Refusing to give reporters what should be public information unless they agree not to say who’s speaking
  • Federal agencies’ blackballing of reporters who write critically of them
  • Lack of meaning visual access to the pressmen try an independent press pool

Loretta's Fraud

Loretta's Mustache

I've previously opined that Obama's engineered election in 2008 means government has already been overthrown.  So, was I wrong? What's happening now seals the deal, IMO.   Clinonistas will/are claiming Comey's action may cost her the election.  That's crap.

Harry  Reid says FBI chief may have violated law by disclosing review .

Nice try Harry, but no cigar. The public perception of the FBI's mandate was born by years of  J. Edgar's fight against the  "communist menace."  These scandals show just how serious are the Left's attempts to undermine our democracy; so same difference. Too late to spin.

One other note.  Like most of you I visit Drudge at least once a day, and it seems to me that every day, for the last 3-4 months, I've seen this.  "HILLARY LEAD DOWN TO +1"

Pul-eeeze.

One other note.  The House should  convene immediately and start impeachment proceedings against Loretta Lynch.

Liar, Liers

... on top of a telephone wire
I'm surely not the only person who's noticed the "coming out" of publications that were generally reliably conservative that now,  in the matter of Trump, are dancing with the New York Times.  One is the Washington Examiner. Example:

Carney: The death of Republican outrage?

It's well and good to point out the inconsistency of liberals who defended Bill Clinton in the 1990s and are attacking Donald Trump now. But sometimes inconsistency means moving from error to correct opinion. The Clinton-defenders-turned-Trump-attackers might be partisan hacks, and they might be insincere in their concern for women, but this time around they are correct. The important thing is, we conservatives were right back then. And we should have the same standards today.

THEIR ERRORS DO NOT MITIGATE TRUMP'S SINS

This is freaking bizarre.  The below mentioned WaPost's "no, we are not making this endorsement simply because Ms Clinton's chief opponent is dreadful" reasoning is typical. No argument advanced that delves into Trump's inadequacy as a leader of men, failed business acumen, lack of success, or any other reasonable measure executive ability.  Instead we get feigned outrage over locker room "grab'em by the pussy" talk—that every man in the world has engaged in—and used as a disqualifier.  In the next breath we are told that Hillary history isn't worthy of discussion. Why? Ask.

The Washington Post on Thursday became the latest ...

We’re way beyond media bias. They are all-in. The media is the Hillary Clinton campaign staff. There’s not even a pretense of objectivity. It’s so bad, the New York Times had to write a front-page story last weekend talking about how painful it is for real journalists for the first time in their careers out of a sense of duty to adopt an oppositional stance to a candidate. They’ve never done that before, and since they’ve had to do it with Trump, it also looks like they’re pro-Hillary, and they’re so uncomfortable with this!
(Rush Limbaugh 8/15/2016)

TheWashington Post on Thursday became the latest US newspaper toemphatically endorse Hillary Clinton for the White House, saying it wasswayed as much by her competence as by the alarming specter of a DonaldTrump presidency.

Rush Limbaugh- 16 hrs ago
Never been through anything like this before, except that we all think we have. This is topping anything. I think it's establishing my point that we don't have a media, folks. There's no media. And we're so far beyond bias to describe what's going on here, that doesn't even get close to touching it.
"Hillary Clinton has the potential to be an excellent president of the United States, and we endorse her without hesitation," the influential US daily wrote, adding, "no, we are not making this endorsement simply because Ms Clinton's chief opponent is dreadful."

Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee "is dogged, resilient, purposeful and smart," the newspaper wrote while acknowledging her many political and personal missteps of the past -- failings it said are outweighed by her strengths.

"She has executive experience. She does not let her feelings get in the way of the job at hand. She is well positioned to get something done," the daily wrote.
Under the stewardship of owner Jeff Bezos (Amazon), the WaPost has gone  from being reliably liberal to full fledged New York Times clone. I think what Rush is saying in the insert is, we're at a point where it's possible for Hillary forces to blatantly steal the election and the media would refuse to question it. The solution?  A groundswell of Trump votes so great that they would fear for their lives to even try. I'm just saying. Say Amen.

DONNY DOUCHE

We’re way beyond media bias. They are all-in. The media is the Hillary Clinton campaign staff. There’s not even a pretense of objectivity. It’s so bad, the New York Times had to write a front-page story last weekend talking about how painful it is for real journalists for the first time in their careers out of a sense of duty to adopt an oppositional stance to a candidate. They’ve never done that before, and since they’ve had to do it with Trump, it also looks like they’re pro-Hillary, and they’re so uncomfortable with this!
(Rush Limbaugh 8/15/2016)

On today’s Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough, to his credit, fulminated against anti-Trump MSM reporters who are supposed to write stories down the middle but are instead “openly cheering for Hillary Clinton.” That’s when Donny Deutsch defended media bias, saying that reporters have a “conscience” and that “sometimes there’s no other side to an argument.”

JOE SCARBOROUGH: You now have a lot of people in the press openly—that are supposed to be down the middle—openly cheering for Hillary Clinton in a way that they want to be able to tell their children and grandchildren after it’s over, I did everything I could.

DONNY DEUTSCH: Yeah, conscience.

JOE: Conscience of journalists? They’re not supposed to have conscience —

DEUTSCH: They’re human beings, still. They’re parents.

JOE: You’re supposed to write your stories down the middle, let Ron Fournier and people like Ron Fournier go after, let people like us who get paid to give our opinions go after it. We still need journalists who can do things down the middle dispassionately.

DEUTSCH: But sometimes there’s no other side to an argument. And I think that’s what’s happening here.

Bonus coverage:

.
DOUCHE: The thing I still think will play against [Trump] is this woman stuff. I have a strange feeling at the debate, there’ll be another name that will come up from Hillary that we haven’t heard or haven’t thought about. I think between now and election day, and the one thing that Trump cannot recover — he recovers from sleaze, he doesn’t recover from the hate stuff. And there’ll be more women stuff to come. And he doesn’t recover from that. I would be shocked if between now and November 8th there are not three or four names of women we haven’t thought about or heard about that articulate the problem that Trump has, as far as misogyny and as far as all across other things.

MIKA BRZEZINSKI: I think that’s going to be a —

DOUCHE: I think that’s what going to continue to pound him.
 [FULL, including Video]

Note: Donny Deutsch is not actually a journalist, but the erstwhile Chairman of Deutsch Inc., one of the world's leading advertising agencies.  Come to think of it, is there any dif betwixt  journalism and advertising anymore?  That's right.  No. And the hell of it is; there is no Joseph Goebbels who can have you shot for straying,  so these guys are just die-hard party members.

The Media Are All In

"She is 'unfit for the presidency"

Last week several newspapers that historically endorse the GOP presidential candidate came out for Hillary Clinton.  USA Today, which have never endorsed any candidate, blared "Trump is 'unfit for the presidency" Here are the paper's bullet points.

He is erratic. Trump has been on so many sides of so many issues that attempting to assess his policy positions is like shooting at a moving target.

He is ill-equipped to be commander in chief. Trump’s foreign policy pronouncements typically range from uninformed to incoherent.

He traffics in prejudice. From the very beginning, Trump has built his campaign on appeals to bigotry and xenophobia, whipping up resentment against Mexicans, Muslims and migrants. His proposals for mass deportations and religious tests are unworkable and contrary to America’s ideals.

Trump has stirred racist sentiments in ways that can’t be erased by his belated and clumsy outreach to African Americans. His attacks on an Indiana-born federal judge of Mexican heritage fit “the textbook definition of a racist comment,” according to House Speaker Paul Ryan, the highest-ranking elected official in the Republican Party. And for five years, Trump fanned the absurd “birther” movement that falsely questioned the legitimacy of the nation’s first black president.

His business career is checkered.

He isn’t leveling with the American people. Is Trump as rich as he says? No one knows, in part because, alone among major party presidential candidates for the past four decades, he refuses to release his tax returns. Nor do we know whether he has paid his fair share of taxes, or the extent of his foreign financial entanglements.

He speaks recklessly.

He has coarsened the national dialogue.

He’s a serial liar. Although polls show that Clinton is considered less honest and trustworthy than Trump, it’s not even a close contest. Trump is in a league of his own when it comes to the quality and quantity of his misstatements.

.... resist the siren song of a dangerous demagogue. By all means vote, just not for Donald Trump.
Try this exercise.  Read the list again, substituting "Hillary" for "Trump," and "She" for "He." Which version makes any sense?

All this leaves me with mixed feelings.  On the one hand, I'm terrified by the abject ruthlessness of the Media commitment to defeat Trump at any cost to their historical reputations.  On the other hand, I feel a certain exhilaration that, from the very beginning, I was one of millions who sensed that our nation's leaders are so corruptly in the thrall of One Worlders that, either we defang them in November, or go belly up as a nation.  With all that,  I still vastly underestimated the depth of  viciousness they would employ.

Lindsey Graham said what?

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R.-S.C., had trouble absolving Donald Trump's supporters of racism when he was asked to explain the real estate mogul's success in the Republican primary season.

Graham denounced Trump for race-baiting during an appearance on "The Daily Show," but the comedy host turned the question around on him. "If you say Donald Trump is not a Republican, why does it seem like the Republican base fits him like a glove?" Trevor Noah asked Wednesday night. "Have you maybe given them an impression that this is a party that supports xenophobia and bigotry, all of those things you listed? Is that possible?"

The audience cheered as Graham shrugged. "Thirty-five percent of my party believes that Obama is a Muslim born in Kenya; [Trump] has locked that crowd down," he replied. "Now, sixty-five percent of us just think he's a bad president." [Full]

My rejoinder:
Please explain how "Thirty-five percent of my party believes that Obama is a Muslim born in Kenya," earns the lede "Lindsey Graham: 35 percent of GOP is racist?"

The real story here, for me, is this.  The (source) Washington Examiner is now just another web presence I once found a good source for conservative news & viewpoints, that are now among the GOP elite that's more hostile to Donald Trump than to Hillary Clinton.

I suspect the cause is those "journalists" depend on core GOP elitists for the insider information, the manna that make them a worth a paycheck.  Trump's ascension to the throne  scares the crap out of  their old bull congressional clients, so they respond like traditional leftist media do; they let
suckup trump truth.  Fkm. All.

" ... rampant abuse of data."

"The MSM Rule of Inverse Electoral Correlation: The closer the presidential race gets, the louder the MSM declares that it’s over. "

Data are important to understanding everything in politics, from polling to policy. But data are also very easy to abuse and misuse. You can manipulate polls to make them say pretty much anything you want, such as that Hillary Clinton is leading Donald Trump in Texas or that 7 percent of Texans want a border wall with Oklahoma.

And then there is the dubious field of fact-checking, which is often politicized. "Our pollsters and our media have spent plenty of time and column inches this year engaged in this sort of inhumane torture"

I really am (almost) at a loss for words.  It's almost as if Rudy Giuliani was running to be 'Made' in the Genovese crime family, and what that would portend for the current membership.

Media: Show us your tax returns!

Full Frontal Ann

With the media frantically hiding the content of Donald Trump's terrorism speech from last week, he should respond to every question with the central point of that speech: How does this kind of immigration make our country better? How does it make the country safer?

Media: Show us your tax returns!

Trump: Show me how our immigration policies are good for the people who already live here.

Media: Tell us why you fired Corey Lewandowski!

Trump: Tell me how our immigration policies are making the country safer for the people who already live here.

Media: How are you going to match Hillary's corporate fundraising?

Trump: How are our immigration policies helping the people who already live here?

Sooner or later people will say, "That's a good question -- why is this necessary?"

When the Third World immigrants admitted under Sen. Teddy Kennedy's 1965 Immigration Act -- as well as their children -- commit mass murder, the government and media tell us it's a gun problem. Or it's "our" culture. Or it's "homophobia." Or we have to keep admitting millions of Muslims because otherwise the ones already here will REALLY hate us.

Isn't that extortion? We've already admitted millions of Muslim immigrants, but if we don't take in millions more, the ones we've admitted will go on killing sprees?

How did we get in the position where we're screwed if we're not in the good graces of the Muslim community? Maybe we should stop doing that.

As any competent health professional will tell you, prevention is always better than a cure. No one says, Go ahead and have sex with that syphilitic whore -- we've got a cure! You don't need to worry about a leaky roof -- we've got mops!

They know that's not a good argument, which is why the media refuse to tell you what Trump actually said in his terrorism speech. [Full Frontal Ann]

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
