Your Breakfast with Commies

Old Bell Ringers

Here are two vintage propaganda films that I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy.  See how many bells go off in your head after watching the 50 year old  "What is communism?," narrated by Herb Philbrick.  On the right, Walt Disney's anti-Nazism film from 1943,  "Reason and Emotion" shows what happens when emotion trumps reason after being indoctrinated.  More bells ringing.

What is Communism? 14:00

Reason and Emotion 8:29

Both of these are good in their own way. That guy on the first sure looks rough. He could pass for any commie nowadays couldn't he? Disney may have had faults but, he sure could put his all into a good cause couldn't he?

She was kinda hot for a 'toon. But I like my girls a little bit thick. "Corn-fed", if you will, but not over-fed.

Herb Philbrick was an undercover agent for the FBI. His story was the basis for the radio show, I was a Communist for the FBI.
