Three
term Utah Sen. Bob Bennet is seen unlikely to make it out of of the
Utah Republican nomination process! Despite a lifetime American
Conservative Union rating of 88 percent, and an endorsement from
the NRA, Bennet is being called a "moderate" for his vote in favor of the bank bailout, and his proposed health care plan, presented as an alternative to Obamacare,
has come under fire for its requirement that all Americans buy health
insurance. The Republican Party establishment has responded with the likes of Newt Gingrich trying to save Bennet; the more reliable Club for Growth
is bankrolling anti-Bennet television ads. And that, boys and girls, is
the way it should be. You don't deal with the devil by trying to
moderate his terms; you oppose every word, jot, and tittle out of
principle. There is no right way to do the wrong thing. USA

Aside: The WaTimes
is being sold by the Moon family, which has already cut financial
support to the bone. My fervent hope is that Rupert will buy it,
but that seems unlikely. Losing the WaTimes would be a serious loss,
and bolster the Democrat Media Complex.
