WAR?

U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton also struck down the section of law that makes it a crime not to carry immigration registration papers and the provision that makes it a crime for an illegal immigrant to seek or perform work.
Boned Jello

That leaves Arizona with two choices.  No dicking around allowed.
  1. Arizona ignores Bolton's decision on the basis she lacks any constitutional granted standing to get involved; and threaten to arrest any federal agent attempting to enforce her order.  Calling up the Arizona National Guared would be in order.

  2. Capitulate, dashing the hopes of millions of Americans who recognize this is an historical opportunity, maybe the last ever,  toreturn to the rule of law.
One or the other.

UPDATE

United States v. Arizona — How 'Bout United States v. Rhode Island?

Well whaddya know? It turns out that Rhode Island has long been carrying out the procedures at issue in the Arizona immigration statute: As a matter of routine, RI state police check immigration status at traffic stops whenever there is reasonable suspicion to do so, and they report all illegals to the feds for deportation. Besides the usual profiling blather ... [More]

Um, doesn't EXISITNG FEDERAL law require permanent aliens to carry their Resdient Alien Card at all times?

Over 70% of the voting adults here in Arizona are ready to tell Judge Bolton, with all respect, to go f-ck herself along with all of Barry Heusein Obama's other scum-sucking asshats.

This is going all the way to the Supreme's, and when the dust settles, Aridzona is going to be the last place in Estados Unidos where any Alien Criminal is going to want to be found. Thank you, Judge Bolton, for being such a candy-assed puke; the Righteous Citizens of the Baby State are going to make you look like a simpering political hack.

We're going to continue with our plans to Ten-Seventy any and all CRIMINAL Aliens who decide to cross our borders, and to Hell with the Feds!

Joe Arpaio has belt-fed, crew-served weapons on his tanks (yes, Virginia, MCSO really DOES have tanks!)now; and we have growing legions of red-necks to back him and his deputies up. Maybe we can't stop the invading hordes, but we can sure slow them down before they reach Utah!

GOD BLESS GOVERNOR JAN BREWER AND THE STATE OF ARIZONA for standing up at the front of the fight for the other 57 states.

History is written in the bloody soil of the front lines. The blood of our fallen will write the stories we read to our children!

All you sorry-a-ssed border jumpers take note: this was just a skirmish; the rest of the war we are GOING to fight starts RIGHT HERE; RIGHT NOW! You can go any direction fron here and probably find some Liberal strong-hold where you can further your illegal carreer. You just CAN'T do it HERE!

GET THE HELL OUT, and thank you very much!

Well from what I read over at Legal Insurection, Bolton just passed a hold on certain parts of the bill. It will go on to the courts possibly all the way to the Supreme. Things like this make it very important to vote for people with brains in the primaries that are left and in the mid-term elections. Also the flush should not be just on the federal offices but on state, county, and city also.

You really think voting is going to solve this?

Ever read "Gone With The Wind"? Do you remember the letter Ashley sent Mel that Scarlett snuck a look at? Remember him writing that it would never be the same, and their old life was gone no matter what came next? If you don't, go read it again.

I think it will get violent here over this...
I can see it now:
"Officer, when I pulled up to Home Depot I thought I was being carjacked by those Illegals. It was them or me..."

In the meantime, you can support Sheriff Joe's youth program.

Thank you. You raised my flagging spirits.

Toadold, The Regime will see to it the appeals process will go verrrrrry slowly, long enough for a lame duck Congress to pass an Amnesty Bill after elections. Congress won't dare do an Amnesty Bill now, with elections looming, but after November, with nothing to lose....

Anybody have a URL or YouTube link for the old INS PSA cartoon from the early '60s about the annual address-reporting requirement for aliens?

Fine.

Leave the illegals alone. Punish people who hire illegals.

Allow civil forfeiture of businesses caught with such, or homes with illegals trimming the lawn or fixing the roof.

Throw bureaucrats in prison for issuing them driver's licenses or any other kind of benefit, entitlement, or professional license.

In my not-so-humble opinion, I believe that The Komrade Incompetent and his Shyster General, Holder, had a one-sided "conversation" with Judge Bolton, informing her that she would be sent off to the Federal Courts in Pt. Barrow, Alaska if she ruled for Arizona. Given the rampant corruption going on in Washington, DC today, that surely could have happened. But, alas, we will never know for sure.

The one saving grace to all this is that in November the Democrat incumbents will be having a much harder row to hoe in getting their cushy jobs back. Unintended consequences? Damn right!!!!

Also, anyone who hires an illegal should not be allowed to deduct the wages to that illegal from their Federal income taxes. If that were enforced, most if not all the illegals would self-deport. But that won't happen as long as The Komrade Incompetent is in the White House.

The sad part is Scottiebill, that no such conversation was necessary. A Clinton appointee to the bench carries with it a certainty of outcome. In this way our courts are utterly corrupted.

My mother has her alien registration card with her at all times since she came her by boat in 1954. She often had to show it when crossing the USA/Canada border.
