Don't mess with Texas

Texas fights global-warming power grab
Lone Star state won't participate in Obama's lawless policy

F or 16 years, the EPA allowed Texas to run its own permitting program to meet federal air-quality standards. But in May, the agency announced- out of nowhere - that the state is not in compliance with federal regulations. Even though Texas had met its clean-air obligations, the EPA announced it was taking over permitting.

The EPA, determined to move forward anyway, is attempting to rewrite the Clean Air Act administratively via a "tailoring rule," which would reduce the number of regulated sources. The problem with that approach? It's illegal. The EPA has no authority to rewrite the law. To pull it off, the EPA needs every state with a State Implementation Plan to rewrite all of its statutory thresholds as well.

Not speechless.  Just enured.

This one will be fun to watch. There's quite a few petrochemical facilities involved with this debacle. Removing permits will either stop the production of fuel, or raise the price where a congress critter or two are turned into sacrificial goats.

As much as I like the idea of a goat barbeque, I don't want to pay more for gas.

Well, Texas, like Arizona with immigration, has the law on its side here. I'm thinkin' - what would the FEDs do? Blockade Houston? Shut down the delivery pipelines? Order the Texas National Guard to lay siege on the Texas government, and arrest them? Send in Federal troops? What? Like all bullies, if someone will stand up and punch these Obamnazis in the nose, they'll run away.

They could withold highway funds, but if Texas returns the favor, that would mean a 2% gain in highway revenue.

I'm thinking the entire United States would be brought to it's knees if Texas only shut all of the valves on pipelines crossing the border.

After trying to work with the EPA folks at the lower and mid-levels to acquaint them with a wonderful water treatment technology for four years, I have to quote Obi-Wan, "You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy."

They are dead from the neck up. When someone puts a shovel in the ground, 50 regulatory agencies show up --- led, of course, by the EPA.

There are already a respectable number of vehicles with a Texas flag bumper sticker with the word SECEDE! printed across it. It is encroachments just like this that will strengthen this movement. More at www.texasnationalist.com.

Just sayin'.

Y'all be good and check your 6.

It would be interesting to see a constitutional amendment to abolish the federal gov't. It'll never happen, but at this point, it looks like a good thing.
