President CHUCKY

A Case Study in
Magical Military Thinking

[from the Weekly Standard]

Here is Assistant Secretary of State Rose Gottemoeller, speaking at a U.S. Strategic Command conference last week, making the case for Senate ratification of the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty:

…ratification of the CTBT is central to leading other nuclear weapons states toward a world of diminished reliance on nuclear weapons, reduced nuclear competition, and eventual nuclear disarmament, a theme also reflected in the recently concluded Review Conference of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

As we prattle on about setting an example, others build.  The delusional premise of the Obama administration’s non-proliferation policies are, in Gottemoeller’s remarks, displayed in miniature.

Let me boldly assert that there is nobody in this room who needed to be told that the Administration is delusional (at best) here.  We are clearly at the point where resisting this play-babies from Hell government is self defense

Since the firearms ban was such a roaring success in
Chicago and Washington DC, why not apply it worldwide?

Rick, that's exactly what these idiots believe. That and using The Bomb to end WW2 was immoral but killing babies in the womb is OK.
They need trepanning to let the evil spirits out and permit rewiring.

Peace is an illusion secured with the force of arms. Disarmament, whether on state or personal scales is specious. You cannot eliminate human nature by destroying the tools of war. All that is achieved is victim status.

How long would China/Nork/Iran/Mexico wait before they invade knowing we were peaceniks with no arms? People who crave peace are people who crave chains.

When you have a philosophy that refuses to consider that there is actually a difference in values — good/responsible vs bad/irresponsible — this is the sophomoric nonsense that results.

Besides, that genie is out of the bottle. You ain't never gettin' it back in, sister.
Now, do your frikkin' adult job and come up with a strategy that recognizes the existence of nukes in the hands of insane religious zealots rather than hippies.

My breath is always taken away by this monumentally stupid argument every time I hear it. Not only is it gun control idiocy on a worldwide basis, they pretend that the world can forget that this technology exists. Technology never moves backwards and when conflict arises the pacifists are the first to die.

While some of the fruits and nuts contingent of moonbats may actually believe disarmament is a good thing, I firmly believe this is just another move by the administration to deliberately destroy this country from within.
