I just figured a Chicom sub sending the message, "We own you, back of India??"

Amateur built rocket. They fire them on the Cali flats and they go to almost 20K feet. Look at how the contrail ends abruptly. The solid fuel engine stopped. They fire up to 5000 feet and get the thing up to 750 MPH then it's inertia all the way up. This guy had an old beater rocket, fired it for the sunset photo. He had photogs on the N. side of Catalina. They all took a picture and beat feet to Avalon, where they are quietly laughing about it. I like their style.

There ain't no way a Chicom beater sub is getting into Cali waters.

As someone who is into rocketry I thought it was just a big toy rocket.

Sorry Anymouse. On 10 NOV 2007 an undetected Chinese Song class sub popped up and surprised the USS Kitty Hawk.

Or it was just another airplane contrail that was misinterpreted. (Follow the link to Contrail Science for more.)

I live south of Cape Canaveral and I’ve seen this numerous times and thought “Did they launch sometime big at the Cape I didn’t hear about???”

It’s not rising up from the ocean and going AWAY from you. (Perspective illusion)
It’s an aircraft coming up over the horizon and coming TOWARD the camera.

If you look at the closeup shot you can see the ‘bright light’ everyone assumes is the ‘missile’ and it’s in FRONT of the contrail. It’s an airliner (or military jet) glowing in the sun.

Watched a LOT of missal launches from Vandenburg. As they go vertically upwards they cross winds going different directions so the contrail rapidly curves and spirals around. Jets at one altitude have a linear trace or as known by the wacko's chemtrail.
