Beware Black Shiny Stuff

TELEVISION Will Kill you. PATENT to PROVE it..
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but POWERS and PRINCIPALITIES. We are "channeling" Demons through television "programming" and now heres the PATENT to prove it was always their intent.

Well that pretty much proved it.

Right?

By the by (I am not making this up); after watching this video on my iPad, I clicked "home" and up pops an Apple  screen that makes me identify my wifi and pw.  Never saw this screen before, and couldn't get past it.  I  rebooted the iPad, and there it is again.  So, I complied.  And everything was wonderful again.  Of course, if you watch the video you'll understand the drama.

I think Doug M will be able to explain this.

Crippled cripple alert

Yeah, Right ....

I clicked "Take the Risk" and got this

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '(', expecting ']' in /home/denny/public_html/wp/wp-content/themes/foghorn/header.php on line 1

My fur is standing because Google (Blogger, You Tube) have before closed me down, deleted stuff, and generally harassed me after "complaints were lodged."  Plus, we are in the early stages of uncivil war, so anything is possible. If Denny is Okay, however, he can still read the various posts about this matter, and could be expected to offer and explanation.  So, Denny!  Are you out there?

Not meaning to be a dick or anything but the picture below was taken at OSU after the muzzie knife attack. Assuming they didnt know if he had a gun or where he was, they stacked chairs at the door. I do see a slight problem based on how the door swings.

Consumer Rebate Program ???

CAN YOU REALLY “COLLECT A ‘CASH REBATE’ ON NEARLY EVERY SINGLE PURCHASE MADE IN 2016?”

So what are they really talking about? Can you actually get a “cash rebate” from the government just for buying stuff?

Well, sort of.

IRS Recovery Rebate Credit Information Center

Re: Consumer (cash) Rebate Program passed by Congress real or not?

Here's the scoop. Executive summary: It's just the same old sales tax deduction that you've been able to take in place of a state and local income tax deduction, for ten years now. The only thing that's "new" about it is that it became permanent last fall, instead of something that Congress had to extend on a year-by-year basis.

I don't know how the "Oxford Club" hopes to benefit here, but *sigh*, I can hear my tax accountant saying "You Dumb Dick."

More Fence Please Señor

                                           Mexican Invaders

It seems Mexico agrees with Donald Trump’s plans to build a wall to keep out illegal immigrants – but only on its southern border with Central America.

Mexicans are calling for the border wall to keep out Guatemalans, Salvadorans and Hondurans fleeing violence in their own countries.

They complain ‘hordes’ of immigrants pass through on their way to the United States -who are then simply deported back to Mexico rather than their home countries by the US.

‘Trump’s idea of a border wall is a good one but it should be on the southern border with Central America in order to stop the flow of Central Americans from entering both countries,’ the El Mañana board wrote in July.
Central American migrants are left stuck in border cities with Mexican officials unable to afford to send them back to their own countries, according to an article by one of the largest newspapers in the border state of Tamaulipas, El Mañana, titled: ‘Yes to the Border Wall … but in Mexico’s South.’

The real estate mogul sparked international outrage last year when he unveiled his idea for a giant wall on the US border with Mexico – which he claimed Mexico would pay for.

But while Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto has mocked Trump’s plans, many Mexicans praised the concept of a border wall.

‘Trump’s idea of a border wall is a good one but it should be on the southern border with Central America in order to stop the flow of Central Americans from entering both countries,’ the El Mañana board wrote in July.

You can't make this shit up.

This Strange Phenomenon ...

Danville is the site of major historical significance. From Civil War sites to museums, learning about the town’s historical role in Virginia is not hard to do. But fewer people know about the weirdness that is the Oak Hill and Berry Hill intersection. This is the site of Virginia’s own gravity hill. (Con't)

Security Certificate Question

Raja,

I'm getting a lot of security certificate problems.  Now that includes something on your site, the most recent post:  Content was blocked because it was not signed by a valid security certificate.

Any idea how I can fix this?

Skoonj

It seems to me that somewhere you must have elected to block anything that doesn't pass security certificate muster?  Sounds like something IE would do. Anyone else?

Particle Fever

Particle Fever

GeV Higher, Higher!

Arguing with an engineer is a lot like wrestling in the mud with a pig. After a couple of hours you realize the pig likes it.
It seems that I have an uncommon number of engineer types who stop here; I don't know why.  Either it's because they like the mental gymnastics; i.e., I am always one step ahead of them; or they enjoy shooting at a stationary target?  At any rate, I once chose Journalism as a major because it was the only course of study in all of the University of Maryland that had not a single math requirement.  And that's odd too, because all the various aptitude tests I've taken show music and mathematics as my strong suit.  I can only conclude that all that is trumped by recklessness, another trait, which has me doing stuff like this, or plain carelessness.

Bottom line then is,  when it comes to astro physics I'm a spectator who could not if you put a gun to my head understand the numbers behind Particle Fever, but am nevertheless enthralled by them.  BTW, I was rooting for a 140 GeV. Why?  I know, but can't explain it.  Also, if I was involved,  Monica would give me a boner, for some reason.

WTFF?

I'm sure all of you have experienced the phenomenon I call shit fall, where your zietgebers plunge into flesh eating mode.  I'm suddenly there.  I'm not going catalog it all, but last night capped it.  Monday night I watched Top Gear's season 7 episode (08/04/2009)  where  Ellen MacArthur drove the fastest ever celebrity time around the track.   Then I paused it and went on to other things.  I cannot explain why I find so much comfort in this series which began in 2002.  As of 16 March 2014 167 episodes of the series have been broadcast, spanning 21 series.  I have been through them all, maybe four or 5 times. Anyway, last night when I went to Netflix it was missing from my "recently watched" scroll.  I went to My list, and clicked that.  WTFF? Everything from 2002 until 2011 is gone! No announcement.  Nothing. I am enveloped in a dark black cloud.  I had to have four fingers of Maker's Mark with my Prozac this morning, and it hasn't kicked in.

But Wait!
