Too Rerrow?

Boring Stuff
St. Augustine and John Maynard Keynes
WASHINGTON - President Obama urged reluctant lawmakers Saturday to quickly approve nearly $50 billion in emergency aid to state and local governments, saying the money is needed to avoid "massive layoffs of teachers, police and firefighters" and to support the still-fragile economic recovery. - Obama pleads for $50 billion in state, local aid

There are precious few benefits to be derived from the Obamupation, so I take 'em as they come.  If nothing else, Keynesian economics ought to be discredited for at least until we again forget history's lesson.  About 12 years.

In fairness to Keynes, and I'm doing this from memory, because reading the General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money was more tedious than reading Augustine.(which scribblings in my 5th grade textbook will attest was b-o-r-i-n-g); and I would have to buy the book and re-read it for exact quotes. Awk. .

As I remember then, and have before, Keynes, who really was a genius, predicated his theory that government could run a successful economy by stipulating that the task be left to an "elite coterie of intellectually superior men."

I rest my case.

PS- I think that girl I drew in the middle of "City of God" was Diane Hulchy, who sat adjacent to me. By the third grade she had like 36D breasts and didn't wear a bra until (we heard) Sr. Superior had a talk with her mother. Beauty.  UU

That's right!

World According To Cord

The Alvin Greene Saga's
Racist Underbelly

In the years since the United States began electing officials, her citizens have deemed fit for office everyone from convicted felons to Sarah Palin  ... . Cord Jefferson, The Brown Table

The World According to Cord

The angst displayed by Democrats, Blacks included,  after Alvin Greene won South Carolina’s Democratic Senate primary is, according to the author, " ... tainted by the ugly stains that so frequently mar America’s political processes: racism and classism."

What horsecrap.

Sen. unelect Greene has been charged with a felony, according to the New York Times,  in a case involving showing pornographic images to a college student;.  And  ...
  • has been unemployed since leaving the military 9 months ago,
  • never held a campaign event;
  • didn’t attend any  Democratic primary gatherings;
  • didn’t have a campaign Web site;
  • never filed any financial reporting forms;
  • is receiving unemployment benefits!
Ridiculing his win then is a sign of " America’s political processes: racism and classism?"   Cord Jefferson, you witless canker-blossom.  Lumping Gov. Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber with convicted felons, as you have,  demonstrates what's ugly here.  Sheesh.  I hope the S.C. Republicans did back Greene's candidacy; a partial repayment for Democrats foisting John McCain on real Americans.
