Ommmmmmmmm

Ommmmmmmmm
Until daddy's medicine wears off , boys and girls, today will be spent celebrating the good things in life.  Like  this.  The GOP-led House voted to block funding to implement the nation's health care law. Specifically -
Meditating Pup
  1. voted to prohibit any funds be used by the Internal Revenue Service to carry out the law's mandate that Americans buy health insurance.
  2. baned the Labor and Health and Human Services Departments from spending any money for the rest of fiscal year 2011 on the health care law.
  3. banned the government from paying the salaries of any federal employee involved in implementing the health care law. [proof]
PLUS-
  1. passed an amendment Thursday that would bar the Federal Communications Commission from using any funding to implement the network-neutrality order it approved in December.[proof]
The attempt to block funding is part of a must-pass spending bill to keep the government running past March 4.  Obama has threatened to veto this budget.  Government will shut down.  In the past (1995), Bill Clinton cut a back-room deal with the federal employee union (AFSCME) guaranteeing workers would publicly blame, and heap scorn upon Newt's House Republicans, and not him.  Of course the media were there to capture all the sob stories about missed opportunities to snow-mobile in Yellowstone and see the Air-Space museum.  Big Government nicely explains what to expect.  This will be so fun - if our guys play it right.  Boehnor doesn't have the mettle, but Teapartiers seem to be holding sway, so far.

Some get it. Some don't. Those that are slow to realize how po'd the electorate is will find out in November of next year.
We do not have any more money. We can pay no more taxes. Quit wasting that money you have confiscated at the point of a gun, and spend it wisely.
We elected you to REPRESENT US, not to rule us, and you have failed that responsibility. You have squandered [algore favorite word] our money on projects to insure re-election. You have failed at the task for which you were hired.
If you do not get the message that we do not want socialism, nor cradle-to-grave government rule, nor to have you take our hard-earned money and give it to someone else you will be defeated.
We have awakened to the fact that you are not taking your responsibility seriously. Wake up.

Everybody keeps talking about shutting down the government as if it would be a bad thing. Think of the money we'd save.

I was a full-time Federal Readiness Technician for the Army National Guard during the last shutdown. We were assured that we'd get our for the days missed. I had to stay by the phone in the event of an emergency.

I worked on ammunition forecasts and training schedules on my home computer. My boss sent me assignments and I worked on them outside of the office.
