¿Qué el Fluko?

GOP Immigration Doesn’t Alienate All Hispanics

According to the 2010 Census, the Hispanic population in the United States increased by 43 percent over the last ten years, leaving the final tally for the largest minority group in America at 50.5 million people. That being said, the Democratic Party may not be the demographic’s forever favorite. A Zogby poll conducted in 2009 surveyed Hispanic members of religious denominations and found that a majority of likely Hispanic voters believe that illegal immigration is too high, and results from inadequate enforcement. Their voices were heard the following year in a CNN Exit poll, where 38 percent of Hispanics reportedly voted Republican in the 2010 Congressional elections, and resulted in more Republican Hispanics’ elections to office ... Ii always think of Hispanics in general as having strong family values, strong morality and sense of honor at self reliance. They are generally good people. The Hispanics I have had the pleasure of working with have all been hard working and religious.

I really respect that even if I am not so religious myself.

I like Mexican food a lot.

I draw the line at Mexican food, often. We go out to eat, average $15 per lunch. I don't mind a taco, kinda like those at Chipotle. But seriously? A burrito? Everything I've ordered off every Mexican menu? Rice and beans?

I don't like what you do with rice and beans. Keep it to yourself. I fart in your general direction.

That's right, you're not from Texas!

Oh my Lord, I'm so glad I'm not from Texas. I tossed on your lil Lyle Lovett there, I-RIGHT. What a mind-bendingly retarded piece of shit. That's what a diet of rice and beans will do to one, either produce that twangy misbegotten outtake or actually pay money to see it.

Got a problem with that, Chief? Buy yourself a set of glasses and then a ticket to Ohio. We've a fine selection of restaurants here, and "beans and rice" is front and center on few of them. Steak and potatoes, ya commie bastidd.

BTW: Fuck sweet tea. And UT are mongoloid.

OSU OUS OSU!!!!

A 43% increase in the Hispanic population in just 10 years! That are, I say, I say, 22 Million more Mexicans!

So we either had an incredible influx of illegals, nightly incantations of fertility rites in the barrios -- or a whole raft of people who hid from the 2000 census takers for unknown reasons.

Well now. I generally stay out of these on-line mud-slingings, but, I'm from Texas.

There's a hell of a lot more to Texas music than Lyle Lovett, who I personally don't care for. There's a hell of a lot more to Texas cookin' than Mexican, but having said that, there's a hell of a lot more to Meskin cookin' than just burittos, rice and beans. There's a hell of a lot more of us that drink regular tea and think sweet tea sucks. Many of us certainly don't like UT very much. And, we certainly have a hell of a lot of beef cattle. So there's that.

Sounds like you might have a bit more in common with Texas than you might think, Alear old buddy. Come on down and see us some time. We'll treat you so many different ways, you're bound to like some of them.

He's just out of sorts. It can't be easy living in Ohio these days. Hang in there Alear, we'll keep the light on and the door unlocked in case you change your mind.

I love Texas, but not UT. If I'd have grown up in Texas, I'd have been an Aggie.

Alear, you are successfully demonstrating the common definition of a Buckeye... a bitter nut. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Viva Tressel!

Casca, My son grew up in Tx, and is an Aggie. A finer example of the next generation of young men or women is rare to find, and I'm not the only one to say so. There's a lot of good kids down here. I'm thinking CA, where I came from, not so much.

It's true Cheesy. Adversity creates character. Easy living has made many weak in mind and spirit.

Wellp ... the way I see it (bein' the son of an immigrant, myself), real immigrants from Mexico, now citizens or legal permanent residents, probably ain't too all-fired eager to have the society they were escaping from now sashayin' in an' messin' up their adopted country ... either.
